COCKTAILS 🍹🍸 & BITES 🦷🐟// Tooth fish sandwich: brioche, yoghurt, cheese, onion & pickle (aud21); Rosella cocktail: Adelaide Hills rose, hibiscus, Geraldton wax (aud15); Native Plum Negroni: The Westwinds Cutlass, Italian bitter, Adelaide Hills Red, Davidson Plum (aud16) and Pears cocktail: Merlet creme de Poire, sparkling pear cider, lemon (aud16) from newly-opened Songbird Bar, Ritz Carlton Perth (opened last Friday 15/11). We were greeted by smiles and chose to sit outdoors at the rooftop bar. Our servers were attentive though there might have been miscommunications (understandably opening week hiccups) as two different servers came for our orders after we had ordered with our initial server. The tooth fish sandwich was absolutely delicious combined with the zesty aioli and buttered brioche. Unfortunately they have run out of both the pistachio soft serve and compressed sugarcane desserts which we have been wanting to try. My Native Plum Negroni was more bitter than sweet and I took super long sipping it. We had asked for sweet cocktail recommendations when our server took our orders. Our server noticed this and replaced my cocktail with the Pears cocktail which was much sweeter and easier to drink (killed it in five minutes VS couldn’t even finish drinking half the Negroni in half an hour). As the rooftop bar was a bit chilly with the evening breeze, some other patrons were offered warm blankets. We noticed this and asked for the warm blankets too. Ask and you shall receive. 😬 Overall a good experience and Songbird is undoubtedly a beautiful addition to Perth’s rooftop bar scene with sweeping views of Elizabeth Quay and the city skyline. #songbirdbar #songbirdperth #ritzcarltonperth #cocktails #toothfish #sandwich #rooftopbar #perthfoodreview #perthbar (at The Ritz-Carlton, Perth) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5ArDY8Dl3I/?igshid=scd34195u3gh
