Yo how did they break the news to the Holmes' that they were getting hitched? (Aka how did they ruin Mycroft's life)

I feel like it happened during a family dinner, and Cecelia had sort of suggested they all get together at their parents. Now, after the bickering was over (there is always bickering, it doesn’t matter about what), Violet smiled at her daughter and asked what the news was. Having children like Sherlock and Cecelia, it’s fair to say that Mr and Mrs Holmes were not expecting something good, but they were in fact delighted that Cecelia was engaged. They both liked Mark very much, and felt Cee has met her match. Now Sherlock was just quiet, but Mycroft stared at her in shock. “You’re just marrying him because you don’t like him.” This got some harsh words from Mrs Holmes. And from Cecelia, a look. “No I am not! You really think I am that petty?” Then Sherlock and Mycroft in unison, “yes.” Mycroft and Sherlock refused to accept their little sister’s new husband-to-be and her mother just went on about wedding preparations, Sigor Holmes bestowed a look on Cecelia that can only be given from a father to his daughter on news of her engagement. He took her hand and asked quietly if she really did love him. “I do, daddy.” So Mr Holmes smiled and kissed her cheek. The conversation quickly ended with Mycroft asking his dearest mother to “please be quiet, before that man can ruin dinner without even being here.” Cecelia actually thought, in hindsight, as Holmes dinners went, it went very well.
