Danny’s head swam. Time passed in painful bursts that he was having trouble following. He’d been on the floor after another session. He was always on the floor after. He was on the floor, stuffed back into his too small feeling human body, skin tight and burning. His human body—was it really? Was he? Wasn’t he more ghost than human anymore? How many people did he have to kill to lose his humanity? He used to think one. There had been more than one. Was he human? The body was but wasn’t. It was broken and bruised and bleeding. Electricity crackled through it. It was always electricity. He wished it would kill him for good. He didn’t think it could. Where was he? He was on the floor. It was after a session, he was always on the floor after a session. But the electricity had stopped. The electricity had stopped and the man was dead on the floor. One of the many men that always hurt him. One Danny had wished he could kill. Had wanted to kill, because what humanity did he have left, anyways? What was left of the man’s face stared back at him. Someone was trying to talk to him. Danny could hear the rumble of a voice, but he couldn’t make any of the words out. It sounded kind though. Danny tried to focus on the voice and the person and where he was. He was on the floor.

I finally fulfill my Supernatural fandom trope and make a dear friend watch the series from the beginning and guide her through the first two episodes. I have no shame, and I will end up in the same place in hell as many others here that committed the same sin.
The worst part is I start the mandatory re-re-re watch from the beginning of the thing 😓.
And the first thing I can't believe I noticed yesterday on the 2025 year of our overlord and savior Misha Collins. Is that when Dean drives Sam to his apartment to join Jess, he Leaves! The impala goes fast on his way.
In my mind I always thought Dean stayed at the door for a while watching his little brother enter the building and stuff, like he did that time with Cas at the 7/11. You know, to watch him go, know that he is safe and... Ohhh! I forget, that's just a platonic I want to watch your ass Bro thing.
Why did Dean return? How did he know this was happening? Sam's screaming, and the fire couldn't be audible or visible even in the rearview mirror of the Impala.
But I watched with my two eyes as Dean just punched the gas and straight up left as soon as Sam got out of the car. Because, by the time Sam enters the apartment, opens the door, basks in the darkness, and calls for Jess... until the moment he lays down on the bed... the Impala was probably 2 miles away.
Obviously some Bibro wrote a 3-page essay about the Bro bongage (I learned that from Misha 😏) between Bros that let up Dean to probably park just a block away. But still, I can't believe I just noticed this detail 20 years later. I watched this pilot the month it was aired on TV, as the gods of entertainment of that era demanded. And rewatch it at least 30 times, even in slow mode, to make an edit.
But alas, this was the first thing I found like a plot hole or a curious thing about the pilot once I rated it perfect.
Sidestep is so relatable, I would too break a femboy's knee because of gender envy— I mean cause I have to destroy the system
