PLEASE READ! Situation in Amapá, Brazil
#SOSAmapa
I don’t think i’ve seen anything about this on tumblr yet but there’s more and more tweets about this: apparently, the state of Amapá in Brazil has been without water, electricity and communications for THREE DAYS (since Tuesday November 3rd, 2020)! And the government is doing nothing!
There’s reports of huge lines to access water points and people having to bath in the river!
Translation (through google so it’s probably inaccurate):
For those who do not live in the Amapa state, know the absurdity that occurs at this moment:
1. We have 16 municipalities, 13 are without electricity and it will be 2 days, including the capital, which has approximately 500 thousand inhabitants. 2. There is no running water 3. There is no internet (sometimes Claro and Vivo work) 4. Gas stations cannot operate without power, so we don't have gasoline either 5. You cannot withdraw money from electronic bank cards 6. You can't buy food with a card 7. We are at a peak of contamination and crowding in hospitals due to the pandemic. They are running by generator. We don't know for how long. The surgeries were interrupted. Cheer, pray, pray, send, positive vibration to the sick.
