Dude I'm finally free to draw transformers again and have been wanting to do something with that megasound au of mine (like a comic or something). But them Soundwave re-designs make it hard on me. Especially since he has more than one due to that whole "mr.potatohead" thing

Take your dude and tell him to stop being a diva and get his shit together, please

Also, would u have any idea in your all-knowing Soundwave wisdom on what should I give him?

This design is so peak I’m eating it, scrungling it, crushing it into a ball and directly injecting it into my brain.

His hips are diabolical. he’s wearing low rise jeans. His arms have windshields and he’s got a tape deck and visor. What else is there to love? I love this freak. He’s awesome.

I would LOVE to hear more about your megasound au….. I live and breathe them………..

As for what to add, I genuinely can’t think of anything visually, it’s such a solid design. Character wise, all soundwaves can be boiled down to being “a character about love and hope- and how those things can destroy you.” Take what you want from that and do as you will with it.

First attempt at like my own Soundwave design that I’ll probably mess with later. Me and my friends have just decided to redeem him and add him and his cassettes to the Rescuebot team. I know Tfp is in the same universe but listen. I need my boxy man with a pretty vocoder voice. I’ve seen other creators make his alt form a satellite, which is really cool so I just made that the case here.

(I’m debating if his sattelite wings turn into a guitar like in tfa though…)

FINALLY made my own design for my boyyyy little explanations of some details under the cut hehe

So yea the design is mostly G1 BUT

Took me a WHILE to figure out if I wanted to go with the G1 mask/visor shape or the ones like in the comics........ and I managed to draw it pretty well and it suited him.........

but hey I sticked with G1 in the end because that's how I imagined him. Maybe it'll change in the future who knows ! I DID keep the marks on the cheeks like on the idw versions tho >:) because this boi has some of the idw lore.

Most soundwave designs don't have enough SPEAKERSSSS HES A RADIO AND TAPE PLAYER HE NEEDS THESE. The canon shoots lasers but he has speakers on his shoulders + hand palms because i absolutely LOVE how he attacks with that in Cyberverse and Earthspark so hehe it's mine now.

The legs ..... well I wanted to give that guy boots ok. but without it being too much like starscream. Transformers prime kiiiinda had something like that with the feet/heel general shape going on which I loved ? also the white plaques on the front of the legs are in my mind a mix between g1 and cyberverse.

Oh and finally. Yellow visor soundwave for the win >:)
