No one should ever want to be me and no one should have ever stolen from me
I work hard, and I try even harder. I have my own apartment, I always pay my bills and I achieve as many accomplishments as I can because I feel inadequate due to the fact that I have a usually fatal disease. I recently went through people I know stealing my bank information, breaking into my house and taking things, even my daughter’s toys, and even going as far as to sell the VIN number of my vehicle. They then told me they did it because they wanted what I had and begged me not to do anything to them criminally.
If they want what I have, they would want to not be able to sleep because the pain is to great, even with pain killers, and they would want to go to the hospital all the time and get jabbed with needles, and they would want to throw almost everything that they eat... because that's how I see my life.
My accomplishments aren’t what I think about as I hurl my dinner into the toilet, and my truck is the last thing on my mind when I have an 18 gauge needle be inserted into my shoulder. Those things are a product of me fighting as I hard as I do to take care of myself because I have to. Because being sick is expensive and being in pain is hard.
So to the people who stole from me, because they want to be like me, I hope karma makes you like me. Chronic illness can happen to anyone and so can tragedy and sickness. I believe that God will make sure you have everything I do, my money, my degree’s that you stole, and some terrible thing you will have to deal with for the rest of your life. Whether its the prison you’re about to go to, or something worse, I hope the people who stole from me get what they want which is to deal with something as terrible as I have too. Because if you just have my money and my things, you’re not really me.
I am sick, I am accomplished, I am a mother, I am a wife, I am a voice, and I am a hard worker. I am all of those things, you can’t have one without the rest. And I believe in justice.
