I didn't get my "Dads of the Enterprise" post ready in time for Fathers' Day the way I did with my "Moms of the Enterprise" posts on Mothers' Day, but I didn't want to let these comics panels I scrounged of Joanna McCoy and her Dad go to waste.

Although she was part of the Original Series bible, she only ever ended up appearing in novels and comics. Every time she turned up in the early drafts of an actual episode, she was gone by the time it became a shooting script (most famously transforming into Chekov's old girlfriend Irina in "The Way to Eden.")
