Lightning Without Memory (Multi-chapter Spanche fic)
After an unfortunate injury, Spark is left with amnesia. While they try to help him remember, Blanche feels as though they'll never get their boyfriend back.
Chapter One: Loss
Spark panted as he ran after the Team Rocket grunts. They had made off with a few pokemon they intended to have Arlo turn into shadow pokemon. He couldn’t stand the thought of that and seeing as how he was the fastest runner; he went after them.
“Come back here!” The blonde yelled. “Those pokemon are meant to be free!”
“Says you!” A male grunt laughed. “What’s wrong with making a little money off them?!”
That made Spark’s anger grow. “I’LL MAKE YOU ALL PAY!”
“We’d like to see you try!” The female grunt laughed.
That’s when they took a turn and Spark followed them to see they were now climbing a rather rocky hill.
“Oh no, you don’t!” Spark growled, starting to climb after them.
The male grunt sneered. “You think you’re so tough?! Try this!”
The last thing Spark saw was a rock flying at him, and his world went black…

“Spark?! Spark, where are you?!” Blanche called out. The last time they had seen him, he was running after the grunts, even though Blanche advised him not to. When would he learn?
“Spark-o?! Come on, give us a sign!” Candela called out as well. That’s when the idea hit her. “Arcanine, come on!” She tossed her pokeball in the air.
Her large Arcanine came out, growling eagerly.
“I need you to sniff for Spark, ok boy?” The fire leader asked, petting his large head. The Arcanine yipped and started sniffing around for the blonde. It let out loud barks then started to run.
“He’s got something, come on!” Candela yelled, running after her pokemon, Blanche following suit.
They prayed Spark was okay.
They followed Arcanine, who was now barking even louder to get their attention.
Both gasped at what they saw.
Spark was sprawled on the ground, unconscious and his head was bleeding.
“SPARK!” Blanche shrieked, running to their boyfriend’s side, and checking his pulse. “His pulse is weak, call an ambulance!”
“Already on it!” Candela replied, her voice just as scared.
“It’ll be okay, Spark, it’ll be okay.” Blanche whispers, clutching Spark’s hand. They weren’t sure if they were assuring him or themself.

Candela paced outside the hospital room, while Willow sat with Blanche, trying to console them.
“What is taking so long?!” Candela demanded. “We’ve been waiting almost an hour!”
“Candela, shh.” Willow shushed her, rubbing Blanche’s shaking shoulders. “The doctors need to treat him as fast as they can, it was bound to take some time.”
Candela glared but didn’t reply. She knew Willow was right, so she didn’t dare argue.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, a doctor came out of Spark’s room. All three turned their attention to her.
“Will he be all right?” Blanche asked before anyone else.
“He should make a full recovery soon, it was a light head wound but we’re going to keep him overnight for observation.” The doctor replied. “But…I think he has some questions that need to be answered. I was hoping you would help him, but please don’t crowd him, he needs space.”
All three nodded, understanding.
The doctor knocked and opened the door, peeking her head in. “Spark, you have some visitors.” She announced.
Blanche rushed in as soon as the doctor stepped aside, taking Spark’s hand into their own as opposed to hugging him. “Oh Spark, thank stars!” They cried out. “I was so worried, please don’t ever run off like that again!”
Spark simply blinked at them, seemingly confused. The next words that left his mouth crushed their hopes.
“Who are you?”
