I saw a post on hear a year or so ago about how the best ship dynamic is "one guy who knows he's in love with his best friend but doesn't know he's gay and the other guy who knows he's gay but doesn't know he's in love with his best friend" and if that isn't the Yungi dynamic in a nutshell then I don't know what is.

with the news of the new dexter season (and my dad--and therefore the whole house--on the nth dexter rewatch: I literally grew up with it. probably would have been better off if I'd grown up with criminal minds, ngl) it's got me wondering why there's not more crossover fandom wise between cm and dexter. I mean, the Bay Harbour butcher (dexter) is a perfect bau case. And Dexter Morgan himself operates as a justice killer, due to the code his father instilled in him. He says he doesn't understand emotions all the time but is pretty decent at faking it, and has long-term relationships (while he's not the perfect boyfriend, he is still a good one, this is canon). I honestly don't know if they would figure him out. He's the blood splatter expert, he'd be right in the middle of the investigation, and while we see him get almost caught in the show, he never devolves or acts any differently with his victims (save doakes, who is the one who figured him out).

If there was one case they had to leave unsolved, it might be his.
