RIP the money I could save if I wasn’t a nerd
When you realize you have a spending problem/addiction. But it's no normal one. Noooooo. It's a BOOK spending addiction.
(Especially Brandon Sanderson books)
I've been spending way too much money lately
So tired
I don’t like working 5 days in a row. I definitely prefer 2-3 days at a time and then a day off. I’m also working long days, and today and tomorrow are EARLY. I have to be there at 7, which is Starbucks land isn’t really that early, but for me it definitely is. I was going to try to go for a run after work today, but I’m just so wiped. I did manage to go get a new pair of work shorts from Target since mine got a hole in the crotch today.
Speaking of Target, as much as I joke about my shopping addiction, I legit have a shopping problem and I’m going to start including what I buy into my blog to keep myself accountable. I’m over 3,000 in debt on my credit card. It shouldn’t take me horribly long to pay it off as long as I actually stop spending all willy nilly. I’m also planning a trip to Disneyland in November! I bought my plane ticket yesterday with the friend I’m going with, so that’s all set and it’s another thing to pay off. I’m super excited though! Yes, I also realize it’s kind of ridiculous to talk about my spending problems and debt while also talking about a trip to Disney. This is my life.
So anyway spending for today: Work shorts. Needed.
Friend: Do you ever just feel like impulse-buying your way out of life?
Me: *glances at the missing hundreds from my bank after Prime day* Me: *glances at message about finalizing a deal for a light sprite I really didn’t want until 3 hours ago* Me: *glances at the “I owe 7kg” reminder in my clan profile* Me: *glances at the 8 new expensive G1 projects I bought this week*
Me: *puts down impulse-bought 2nd cup of coffee* Me: …Nah I think that’s just you.
