Running
I find myself running again,
in whatever ways I can.
I run from my world
and find myself a new one;
video games, books,
manga, movies,
magazines—
anything
but this.

As long as I live, I’ll carry you everywhere. Maybe one day you’ll read this, maybe you won’t. I won’t apologize for caring so much. I can’t hide my heart. I never could. If you read this and it doesn’t move you, don’t tell me. If you read it and it does, tell me what shifted in your soul and I’ll tell you what shifted in mine. If there’s ever a time and you and I drift apart, I hope you know there was someone out there who loved you with their whole heart. If you’re left with these letters, I hope you bring them out from time to time and think of the girl with the shaking hands and the over flowing heart that wrote them.
Wanting
I want to be close
I want to be closer
Wrapped in your arms
Skin on skin
And nothing more
I want your lips on mine
And my hands tangled with yours
I want our eyes to be closed
Our breaths to be short
I want you and I
I want us to be one
I thought I needed your affection, longed for your attention but maybe I’m the one who lost sight.

“There was a promise in your goodbye you eyes and heart denied it but somethings you know they’re just a fact of life
Every morning the birds keep chirping the river creaks and the mountains sigh they speak of a truth I wonder if you hear the same cry
Yet I know you’ll just deny it like a tall pine you were dense and set in your ways but I the wind, when you thought I wasn't looking oh how you’d bend and sway”
Be careful who you hand your heart to. A Rose can only blossom so much before its petals start to wilt.

WHERE WE TALK ABOUT GOODBYE: And we pretend they aren't beautiful. That I'm not standing on the side of the road watching you drive away. Like I can't remember what the night smelt like (ice) and that the sky was heavy (and clear) above me. Where we don't pretend it makes me stronger. Where I don't have to lie between my teeth and say I'm fine. I'm fine. I am. WHERE WE TALK ABOUT GOODBYE: And we say that letting go is like looking down the barrel of a loaded gun. Where I'm watching your finger curve around the trigger. Where I'm watching you pull. Where I watch you look away from the damage. Where I'm left cleaning up the pieces of the mess you made. WHERE WE TALK ABOUT GOODBYE: And I'm angry. I'm hurt and I'm raw. Where I don't sit and cry over you. Where I rage. Where I swear never again. Where I look at my bed and I see that it's full with just me inside it. Where I don't say your name late at night when no one can hear. Where I don't think about you at all. WHERE WE TALK ABOUT GOODBYE: And I'm wrecked. You wrecked me. You wrecked me. You wrecked me. WHERE WE TALK ABOUT GOODBYE: And I hang on to your things and pretend I don't. Where I've got your pressed flowers under my bed. When I say your name with scorn. Where I roll my eyes. Where I dream about you sometimes and say that I don't. Where I carry you around between my shoulder blades like an itch. Where I remember what your mouth tasted like. When I remember what it felt like to be warm. When I turn away from the sun. WHERE WE TALK ABOUT GOODBYE: And you leave without a word and shut the door behind you. Where I leave the light on, even still, even now, and pretend that I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't.
