[ x ] - kiss in the rain 

Meeting Mason changed a lot of things. Some changes he was surprised not to mind, while other changes needed some adjusting. Considering his life he was still on the fence about this whole soul mates deal, and he may or may not have still been hung up on Jess. He was so sure his feelings for her would never happen again, that he'd already fell in love and lost it. Now...well now the universe was telling him he had a second chance. The only problem was that soul mates or not his life was still his life. He was still a hunter, and that little aspect of his existence hovered over whatever this relationship like a dark cloud. 

He wanted to grow close to her, but he was scared. What if it happened again? What if something happened to her and it was his fault? She'd be hurt, or worse. That was the last thing he ever wanted to happen. 

Except he couldn't just push her away. The mark on his ribs made sure of that. They were meant to be together and sooner or later no matter where he went, they'd be drawn together. He kept trying to push her away though, and he knew she was getting tired of it. Or maybe she was just frustrated, angry, whatever. 

He was saying sorry again. In the rain no less, could this get anymore like some weird romantic cliche? Any minute now the credits would start rolling and the movie would be over, leaving them standing in the rain with his hands on her arms and his lips pressed against hers. It was a kiss that was trying to say a thousand different things at once; i'm sorry, i'm trying, please be patient with me. All the words he couldn't find the strength to say out loud. 

"I love you." he practically yelled, trying to be heard above the rain.

"Goodbye"

Send me “Goodbye” for the last voice message my muse leaves for yours before they die.

       "This wasn't how it was supposed to be," the message began with a crack in the Siren's voice. Pain is ebbing through him, coursing with the slow drawl of the poison in his veins. "I was supposed to be the one crying over your death-- Mason I'm so sorry. I got myself into a big mess, my dear... I don't think I'm going to survive this one."

       A low groan escaped him, the clawing fires of his healing process trying desperately to repair the damage, which was happening too quickly. His major organs were beginning to fail.

       "Listen... I'm so sorry that our fates have come to an abrupt ending. Please remember how wonderful you are... and know that I love you."

“Grab!”

       A yelp fell from his lips as he felt a hand gripping his rear end. A bright blush lit his cheeks an apple red color, his bright eyes growing as wide as dinner plates.

       "M-Mason!" He  blurted, taking a bashful step away from her hand. "I always knew Fae were unpredictable and tricky creatures," the Siren teased. "I didn't take them for this flirtatious. Not that I'm complaining-- I was just... startled."

Mason rolled her eyes as the Siren smugly wove his fingers through that long, blonde hair of his. Shaking her head as he called it a lions mane, she struggled again with the movies. “Oh, don’t flatter yourself. There’s never a hair out of place,” she shot back, faking annoyance as he didn’t do his hair justice. When he called her strong, Mason laughed in his face out of surprise. “No one’s ever said that before,” she spoke between giggles. “Autographs, huh? I’d love to see that,” she purred playfully, her small hands clutching onto the movies more forcefully. “Okay, fine. I’ll make you a deal. If you do my hair, you don’t have to be my elf. But. You only get half of my candy,” she spoke, letting her grip slack on the films for a moment as she made her offer.

       "Your hair?" The question came out with a teasing edge of being incredulous. "Now my dear Mason, what could I ever do to make your hair more beautiful than it already is?" A charming smile ticked the corners of his lips up as he finally pried the movies out of her grip, holding them high above her head.

       "Your skills of negotiation need work," he beamed. "I will give these back if you stop pestering me to be Legolas." Of course he didn't mean it, he would be more than happy to do her hair for her, but teasing was more fun.

"Fingers through your hair"

           Breath came with traces of pain. He wasn't sure exactly what had happened. The last thing he remembered was the sound of a gun, and shattering impact and pain. The Siren's head spun, and his stomach clenched with nausea.

           "Aye, Fates," he cursed softly, his weak voice carrying with a crack in it. He could feel something faint through his hair, giving him little comfort against the cold ground. A ringing in his ears brought him back to his senses. His mouth was dry, but tasted of blood. The pain of the bullet wound that was once in his temple began to fade away.

           "What happened?" The question fell out like an automated response, his fingers coming up to meet with the delicate ones in his hair. When he felt her heartbeat under his fingertips, he remembered all too clearly. The man from the other night had come back for her, and he had stood at her defense.

           "Mason, my dear are you alright?" Concern laced his features as the alley around them began to clear in his vision.

// so in the lobby of the movie theater where i work there's always a movie trailer playing on the D-box screen and this month its the battle of the five armies trailer so occasionally I look up and im like 'wait why is there a Siren on the screen. Oh wait that's Legolas. Wait. What."

           [ I knowwww I have the same problem watching him now. I watched DoS with my parents the other day and kept mixing up "Legolas" and "Ixto" and "Orlando Bloom" and it was an embarrassing mess. The little bastard gets inside your head and he refuses to leave. ]
