So I started watching Pluto the Series, and my twin sister peeped, got intrigued by the plot, and joined me in binging this lovely series. Then, we got to this scene.
and we both went "I'm so glad that we're not like them, even if we fight, it's not this bad"
but you know what hurts more in this case? because I was unemployed and sick for a whole year too, while my twin was working at a "great place" with a "big salary." I was pressured by my parents to get a job, but I was simply unwell.
No one believed me when I told them I was NOT Okay. Except for her.
She took me to many doctors, and she spent on them, literally spent half her savings on me, because I had spent all of my own savings for my medical/traveling expenses as well.
Not a word of complaint about how I was draining her expenses was made, nor any comments about how I was faking it for my own benefit, or how I should suck it up because it's all in my head. Not a word.
It was the rest of my family who did it, and still do, but right now, I'm not talking about them.
Yes, she and I did have the worst relationship back when we were schooling, but I'm so, so, glad that we cleared all misunderstandings and made up.
Because what's scary was, we were almost ended up like Ai and Oom, bitter and jealous of the other half to the end.
But we didn't.
We talked it out, like adults, poured it all out, and cleared everything.
People who knew us during school days are now surprised by how close we are. But it is what it is. People change, and relationships? Evolve and grow with them.
The point of this whole rant is, just, if Ai and Oom had a heart-to-heart, maybe, maybe there would've been a tiny chance that this whole thing wouldn't have happened.
But then we wouldn't have this story, would we?
