It was one of those glorious spring days that felt like summer. The sky and sea competed with each other over who could shine the brightest blue, and the sun warmed the wooden deck of the Rook's Revenge, releasing the fragrance of oil and varnish.

Captain Lana Laidir stood on the prow, next to their first mate, Taash, who was at the helm, expertly steering the small vessel through the reefs and currents of the Rivaini waters. The sails filled with a gust of wind, and seagulls cried overhead.

Lana took in the sights, sounds and scents of the morning. The smell of sea, of salt air, and of...was that bacon? But Harding was on deck, not cooking one of her trademark Full Ferelden all-day breakfasts in the galley below.

A small, pained, whimper at Lana's feet alerted her to the ship's nug - improbably named Nuglana according to the nametag on their collar. Funny thing, Lana never could remember how they ended up stuck with a nug, but they were fond of the little pink creature.

The little extremely pink creature. A bloom of bright reddish-pink skin spread across the nug's back and the tips of their oversized ears. They looked at Lana with a pitiful expression.

"First sunburn, hey Nuglana?" Lana teased gently. "Now you're a true sailor!"

They scooped up the nug and patted Taash on the shoulder. "You take command, I've got to get this little one below and taken care of. Pretty sure Bellara can whip up some of her soothing aloe lotion for the poor thing - but we need to make them a little outfit or something to keep them shaded. Maybe a little pirate costume?" Taash tilted their head at Lana who looked away. "For practicality that's all, not because it's cute, shut up!"

I chose 6: Rainy Day

It rained less in Dock Town these days. The locals always said the near-constant rain was an effect of the magic used to keep the Archon's Palace floating above the city. Turns out, they were right.

After the blight was cleared, and Dorian Pavus became the new Archon, he decreed that the palace be demolished. The Archon, he declared, should not be above the people but for the people.

Today, however, it rained. The month of Cloudreach had just begun and brought with it showers of warm spring rain, soft as a kiss.

Alana and Neve walked hand in hand, past the market square which now held lively stalls of hot food, spiced wine and all manner of trinkets, life carrying on, a new tree planted and blossoming where the gallows once stood.

The two made their way to the docks, and to Hal's fish stall, the scent of fried fish and onions wafting out over the waterfront. Hal's ancient hands turned the fish on the grill. He looked up when he saw Neve and Alana approach. "Your money's no good here. Free fish for life, remember?"

It felt like only yesterday Alana had eaten Hal's fish with Neve for the first time.

Today it rained, not the hard chill rain that told of storms to come, but a gentle rain that felt like hope.

Spring Prompts 15. Date day Mason Mount Word Count: 309 Mason finally had some time off, he had been in training a lot due to only just coming back from injury. He wanted to make sure that he was as fit as he could possibly be, so he wanted to put the work in.

"This is cute, I haven't been here in ages. I heard they had a brand new menu" you say as you walked into one of the local restaurants. "It is sweet isn't it, right I am so hungry" Mason told you as the waiter handed you the menus. "Me too" you say as you examined the menu. "We haven't had a date day in the longest time either, so this is really nice to do it for once" Mason told you as you agreed with him. "It's perfect, just what we needed" you smiled as the waiter came over to take your drinks order. "Yeah it is, we also need to plan what we are doing this summer as the season ends shortly and we've got absolutely no plans yet which is unlike us" you told Mason. "Well I do have a small training camp but you can come if you want" he suggests as you pull a face at him. "Oh thanks Mase, but can't we just do something us two? I know you want to keep fit but I barely see you, you need some time to relax don't you" you say as you sip on your cocktail as the waiter brings over your starters as you thank him. "We can do that, sounds good we will need to see when to go or where to spend it" you nodded, smiling as you finally agreed on going on holiday. "This is so good, do you want a bite?" you asked Mason as he of course agreed as you passed it over to him.

Lavender Farm

Spring Prompt Lavender Farm Martin Odegaard Word Count: 202 "I've never seen one of these places before, it looks so pretty and it just smells so beautiful" Martin spoke as you walked into the lavender farm.

"It is pretty isn't it, it smells so good. But I imagine it will take a lot to keep maintained and stuff" you spoke to Martin as you walked through to the farm. "Can we get a few cute photos here?" you asked him as you walked through the lavender farm as he nodded as you posed for some photos. "This is cute" you smile as you lean down to have a little smell of the lavender. It smells just lovely and you just felt at peace as you walked around the farm with Martin who seemed as he was enjoying it too. "Shall we go to the gift shop now? I think I have fallen in love with this scent and need to pick up some lavender products now" you smiled as you took his hand as you headed to the gift shop. "Ooh this will be perfect as a sleep spray, let me take these" you smiled as you wandered around to have a little look of what else you could pick up.

Spring Prompt 21. Ladybugs/Ladybirds Bukayo Saka Word Count: 306 The sun was shining and Bukayo had a day off for the first time in ages.

"Hey, what are you doing out here?" you asked Bukayo as you watched him from the door as he was setting up a picnic for you both. "We are having a picnic, enjoying the UK sun before it decides to rain again" he smirked as you came outside to join him. "That sounds great, thank you for setting all this up for me it is cute babe" you smiled as you sat down on the picnic blanket. "What are these?" you asked him as he had a plate of fruit laid out. "Strawberries, I tried to get them covered in white chocolate because I know that is your favourite but it just didn't work out as well as I had hoped" you laughed, giving him a sympathetic smile. "I'm sure they are fine babe, they look cute" you laughed. Bukayo jumped up immediately and let out a scream. "What what? What is happening?" you asked as you watched him jump up and down as he shook his body as he let out a shudder. "There look" Bukayo pointed down as you moved your foot to reveal what all the screaming was about. "You're screaming because of a ladybird, jeez man" you shook your head. "Don't shake your head at me like that, coming from the girl that hates all insects" Bukayo furrowed his brows as he refused to take a seat. "Sure whatever, but I don't remember making a fool of myself like you have just done there" you teased. "Shall we take this inside? I am not ready to be eaten alive by the ladybirds" he laughed as he started moving all of the food before you had even gotten up. "Fine" you muttered as you followed him inside.
