It was well after 2:00 a.m. by the time Seth left Enoch in Oasis Springs and he arrived at the Newcrest Cardiac Center. No matter what the name of the facility was, a hospital waiting room is still the same. Cold, uninviting and impersonal. He took a seat in a chair in the waiting room. They would only allow one person at a time to see his father.
But he knew when his mother appeared in the hallway that his father wasn’t there anymore...
