Mont Ste Marie Hotel
Explored July 2020
Special Guest: Sarah Marie
This glorious structure came into my life after a few glasses of sangria by the lake with Sarah. She surprised me with this location and casually suggested we might pop by; it was only about fifteen minutes away. We packed our drinks to-go (it’s cottage country, it’s ok) and pulled up to this relic that threw me back to my days in Soviet Russia. Total USSR vibes from this 1970′s ski hotel that’s been closed since 1991. Not much remains but one spectacular chandelier and many, many rooms. Other highlights: some impressive graffiti, a spooky elevator shaft and a confusing tower. Unknowns? The basement - as usual.
