This is so self indulgent but uhhhhhhhh Geta/Stephanus/Caracalla omegaverse for the other crazy people on the room<3 (this is a steddie variant if anyone who likes that film sees this with no context 😭💀)
Spectre, in More Ways than One
@infinitcnexus
Commander Bernard was back from the dead. That was the talk of Omega, and especially Afterlife one night. Stephanus would have heard of a combined effort of the three major mercenary groups to take down Archangel, who'd been a thorn in their sides for over half a year, and that Bernard was involved in that operation. Depending on who you asked, Archangel was either dead or alive, purely by the commander's hand.
Immediately before that, there were rumors of Bernard heading into the quarantine zone, leaving several Blood Pack members with sizable holes in their heads and getting rid of the plague.
Anyone who had seen Bernard in action would know that only someone like her could have caused such destruction in the quarantine zone and left alive, and that she was the only person who even stacked up to Archangel's sharpshooting and tactical skills. The Battle of the Citadel between Bernard and Saren was televised almost like a sporting event, millions of citizens seeing her take out several geth with one shot...and convincing Saren to take his own life with only a few words.
It was hard to tell truth from fiction. Perhaps the term "Spectre" held more meaning than most people thought. Was Stephanus really willing to chase after a ghost?
The Fullers of Ancient Rome
The fullers of ancient Rome were launderers who washed the clothes of the city and also finished processing fabric later made into clothing, blankets, or other necessary items. They were looked down upon for their use of human and animal urine as a detergent but were among the most successful and highly-paid workers in the city.
