I got your reply stickerdamage and since I want to rant some more about Rokka no Yuusha and no ask will limit me! So I decided to make a text post. Since my opinions about Rokka aren’t really a secret, or anything.
There will be no major spoilers from novels. There may some mild ones, but none of them should hint at seventh’s identity. There will be speculation but most of it is anime-based. Also sorry for using different names but after getting through 3 and a half volumes of novel I just got used to official names and I have no idea why anime translators decided to use a different romanization.
Yeah, this series is frustrating in that none of them seem to be the seventh. It’s not helped by the fact that almost all of Braves have some sort of problematic past, so even if you notice they are hiding something or acting weird you can never be sure it’s because they ARE the seventh and this series is so great and frustrating at the same time due to that.
As for Chamo and Mora, they are just a long time acquitances. Ever since Chamo acquired her powers Mora served as an authority figure for her, so it’s not surprising that Mora has some sort of control over her. I mean, they’ve known each other for 7 years, so it’s not surprising that they cover for each other.
Fremy is not suspicious by the virtue of the fact that she would make the worst mole ever. I dropped all of my suspicions towards her after it was revealed that she is a half-fiend, because combined with her attitude and reputation she makes a horrible spy. If it wasn’t for Adlet she would be probably killed before even showing her crest, so I really don’t think she is the seventh. Fiends are way too smart to send her as a mole. They would choose a less suspicious person for that.
In novels we get Adlet’s narration so we know for sure that he doesn’t consider himself a seventh. Not to mention that the last episode showed his past and his rather justified hatred towards fiends. Adlet just has no reason to be the seventh that I can think of. Actually, Adlet as seventh would only work if his backstory was false and later in the novel we get strong evidence that his story is true.
Goldof is... weird. I honestly didn’t know what to think of him until 3rd volume, which mostly centers on him. Before that I just couldn’t really puzzle him out. Then again, once he got fleshed out I started to like him much more, since it’s not his fault that he is not good at socializing and clings to Nashetania, because he has no idea how to interact properly with others, so he just keeps quiet most of the time. As for Nashetania I had similar feelings as you. She is just too whimsical and lacks motive.
Honestly, in light of what I just said Hans is most suspicious person and I’m NOT okay with this. Like, he is a beautiful sinnamon roll and while I know he is a murderer for hire I just don’t want him to be the traitor.
I noticed you are slowly starting to ship Adlet and Fremy. XD Personally, I prefer them as best friends, but that’s just my own preference and as you can see there is a lot of hints for this pairing. I admit I ended up shipping Adlet and Hans because of 2nd volume, and anime ISN’T HELPING AT ALL. I didn’t want to ship them, I honestly wanted to get through this series without shipping anyone, but I’m weak. I’m weak and my heart alreay hurts because of this series. Because stupid volume 2nd. It was so much suffering.
