Wattpad thieves beware...

Okay, I normally take this kind of shit in stride, but I’m just done. It seems like everyday a brilliant story is taken off tumblr, posted on Wattpad by some silly child and passed off as their own. I’m done!!!!

I was notified earlier today that she has posted ‘And The Oscar Goes To’ on her page. I come to find she has posted 6 of my works on her page and one was entered into a writing contest! I mean, the balls on this girl. But myself aside, I saw a few stories that seemed familiar… c0meal0nghutch, I found Asylum on her page as well. You may want to report the story, they’ll ask for original links and then it should come down. Other authors, you may want to check her out as well, it doesn’t look like anything posted there is actually hers.

I’m sick of this. And I’m usually the person who sits back and watches everyone complain about shit getting stolen. I understand, you put it out there, it’s gonna get lifted. And over the years a ton of the edits, stories and whatever else I’ve done have been lifted, and I just shake it off. But over the last 6 months or so, it seems Wattpad has FLOODED with stolen work. We as authors and creators work our asses off for these stories and to just have some 14 year old walk in and hit Ctrl+C+V is disheartening.

A little warning to all those little wattpad users looking to become popular on the backs of real writers, people are reporting you. You and your tacky way of doing things are not invisible. Do yourselves a favor and just stop. You look like assholes.
