Now that the Hogwarts Legacy game has been released, we wanted to give some clarification on how YFHA$ is going to handle Wizarding World content going forward, both here and in the Discord server.
To be clear: we strongly condemn JKR and the bigoted and imperialist themes present in her work. These concerns are present in the original Harry Potter books/movies, post-canon sources such as Pottermore, and the newer releases such as Fantastic Beasts and Hogwarts Legacy. We stand with the LGBTQ+ and Jewish communities, among others, against these harmful behaviors. If you disagree, you are not welcome in our space.
Now for the housekeeping:
Both our blog and Discord have always been discourse-free zones. The bolded statement above is our official position. Any further commentary, either in our Discord server or in our Tumblr mentions/asks, will be deleted and those commenters shall be blocked. This is to protect our mental health as well as that of the people who follow us for anti-Autism $peaks catharsis.
We are still putting together a final rule as to whether we will continue to accept flag requests from the Wizarding World franchise, as well as what to do with any requests that may be in our inbox. We have a massive backlog from before Corona that we are still working through. What we can tell you is that we will not be deleting any flags that are already published on the blog as of today, February 10th 2023.

We are aware of the close relationship many autistic people have with fandoms, and we know it's not easy to just discard a special interest. That said, we also have to be cognizant of the communities who have been harmed by this situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
@yourfavehatesautismspeaks!! i did this because i myself am autistic and find the pyro incredibly relatable, and they are a really comforting character for me. i think pyro would destroy autism speaks in one hit!
