At the end of August, 2015 I spent 48 hours in Richmond, VA on what was to be an epic #StreetArtSpringBreakRoadTrip. One of the pieces of #StreetArtOnThisDate I caught was this #Roa piece that may or may not have a little bit of 🇺🇸symbolism intertwined 😉 I’m going to post a bunch of artwork over next few days and many, if not all of them, will not be as politically charged as this one but in a city like Richmond, all non-confederate “monuments” are in a way political. For those that do not know, Richmond was the capital of the confederate and is still home to many, many, statues and monuments. The @richmondmuralproject1 and @artwhino were responsible for dozens of artworks, or new monuments, going up in the city! To see the tons of pics I took you can scroll back about 5k posts but I’ll try to post as many as I can over the next few days.
