Forgotten Memories of the Past (Stucky + Seme OC RP partner search)

Set in a (slightly) alternate universe post the events of Endgame, life was supposed to settle down for humanity, especially the Avengers. However, the hope for rest and team/family bonding is swiftly thrown out the window when Fury (or someone else since he's technically up in a space station?) comes calling from S.H.I.E.L.D / The Department of Damage Control with a new and somewhat surprising threat; mainly a teenager with the ability to mentally and remotely access and manipulate electronic items and digital data and a wolfman-esc superhuman, both with connections to one (former) Winter Soldier.

While the gang is all for stopping threats to national security (probably not great that a teen could potentially detonate the world's supply of nuclear weapons in the blink of an eye), they do have reservations with how S.H.I.E.L.D / The Department of Damage Control is going about their apprehension methods. On top of that, when they find out the plan is to lock these two away in essentially a dungeon-esc jail cell that can actually contain the pair, they want even less to do with the whole mission.

But its obvious the two can be a definite threat and shouldn't be left to roam across the globe with their combined abilities. When you add in these two getting mixed up with a new group known as the Flag Smashers, things become even trickier to navigate. But even after the dust settles and the two are placed firmly in the Avengers custody, things don't go smoothly or as expected, especially as past hurts and distrust continue to brew amongst the found family. How do you deal with a ticking time bomb that's right under your feet?

Hello there friends and wonderful acquaintances! As hinted, I am searching for a partner for a Stucky plus OC (the wolfman guy written about above) featuring the found family elements we all hoped for with the Avengers.

I do have more information as far as Glitch and Farel's motives and how they're connected to Bucky's past with Hydra. I'm looking for someone who'd want to play Bucky (along with side characters, mainly sharing the other Avengers) while I'd be playing Feral and Steve (from a romance perspective) as well as Glitch (and other Avengers side characters).

I have a lot of scene and element ideas and plan for this to be fairly fluffy with a healthy dash of angst and personal growth, but also isn't short on the action, if that's also your thing. I'm happy to go into more detail and answer any questions or do more plotting together if you're interested! I only ask that you only reach out if you're 18+. Steve Rogers had survived battlefields only to come home to a different kind of war.

A decorated veteran turned CEO of his late father’s billion-dollar company, Steve is respected, admired, and constantly watched by the public.

But after an explosion during his final deployment leaves him paralyzed from the waist down, the world starts treating him differently, fragile, tragic, incomplete.

Investors whisper about succession. Board members doubt his “stability” His family becomes obsessed with securing the inheritance tied to an old clause in his grandfather’s will: Steve must marry and produce a legal heir within a certain timeframe, or control of the company passes to another branch of the family.

The problem? Nobody sees Steve as a person anymore.

Every woman his family throws at him during galas, dinners, and charity events only sees the money, the fame, the penthouse, the legacy. Some pity him. Some act performatively kind while subtly cringing from the reality of caring for a disabled husband.

Steve hates all of it. He doesn’t want a nurse. He doesn’t want a trophy wife. He wants someone who looks at him and still sees a man.

Then one rainy evening, his wheelchair loses control near a steep sidewalk outside a crowded café.

People stare… Some even recognize him… But nobody moves.

Until someone does.

A man in a worn leather jacket catches the chair before it tips completely, steadying Steve with shaking hands and a rushed “Jesus, are you okay?” before crouching to fix the wheel himself.

He doesn’t treat Steve delicately or awkwardly. Doesn’t look impressed by who he is. He’s more worried about whether Steve hurt his hands during the near fall.

And before Steve can even properly thank him, the man is gone.

But Steve can’t stop thinking about him.

Because for the first time in years, someone helped him without wanting something in return.

Days later, Steve’s family hosts another miserable dinner party filled with wealthy socialites practically auditioning to become Mrs. Rogers.

Steve is already exhausted before the event even starts. Every conversation feels fake. Every smile feels rehearsed.

Then he sees him again… Not in a suit… But in a catering uniform.

James Buchanan Barnes, “Bucky” to his coworkers, is carrying trays through the ballroom, exhausted from working double shifts. He doesn’t even recognize Steve at first, which somehow affects Steve more than it should. But when they finally talk privately on a balcony away from the noise, the conversation becomes… easy and real.

Bucky is blunt, sarcastic, and completely unimpressed by wealth. He admits he only took the catering job because he’s behind on rent again. He’s raising a little girl alone after her mother left him years ago, and every paycheck disappears into school fees, groceries, and medical bills before he even sees it. He’s tired all the time, but he talks about his daughter with so much love that Steve can’t stop listening.

And for once, Steve doesn’t feel pitied.

That night, long after the party ends, Steve lies awake thinking about the loophole.

The inheritance clause only says he has to marry.

It never says he has to marry a woman.

So maybe… maybe this could help both of them.

A contract marriage.

Steve gets the inheritance and shuts his family up.

Bucky gets financial stability, healthcare, a home for him and his daughter.

Simple.

Except Steve starts realizing very quickly that he doesn’t want Bucky pretending to care about him.

For some reason he wants it to be real.

Between teasing comments on live television, lingering eye contact, and Bucky constantly seeking him out in the paddock, fans become obsessed with their chemistry while Steve insists there’s absolutely nothing going on.

Ithink about before i go to sleep everynight and I’ve basically come up with the entire timeline and every detail of steve and bucky’s history and future

Its inspired by mama K’s ( @howdoyousleep3 ) Stevie Baby and Daddy James AU (which im in love with) so it has the age difference and steve is a little smaller than his post serum body but still muscly and big compared to everyone else and bucky is a bit bigger (any kind of size difference makes me 😮‍💨)

Explanation below because it got way longer than i thought 😭

Steve is the son of the Irish Mob Boss (Joseph) who is a fucking cunt and just horrible (and also secretly apart of the Russian Mob which is basically HYDRA in this au, along with Brock who is his second in command), and he was isolated in a huge mansion with Sarah due to Joseph thinking because of his size and illnesses that he’s useless, until he was 13 when his Dad decided that he’d be a good and useful fighter for his Mob, so he enrolls Steve in a boarding school without buttttt about a week before hes about to be sent there, steve finds out and basically shuts himself in his room. Then after a few days of sarah trying to bargain with him, and steve either completely ignoring her or screaming refusal, he hears joseph and brock screaming at his ma somewhere in the house, he goes down, argues with them but gets knocked down by joseph and wakes up im a room with brock and his dad and thennnn….bad stuff ensues (to make it short: he gets sexually abused by brock for days and then has to miss the first week of school due to brock just basically torturing him and forcing him to co-operate)

Steve goes to the school, brock visits him every week and trainshim on how to fight and to make sure that he’s the top of his classes, and comes back to brooklyn when he’s 17, but he’s told that Sarah was deported back to Ireland, joseph is extremely busy with work, and that he now has to live on his own but he has no money so: he decides to butter brock up and gets a job as a dancer at brocks club (which is actually buckys club, but brock likes to lie because hes an egotistical cunt as we all know) AND THAT IS WHERE HE AND BUCKY MEET

Now Bucky: hes about 10-15 years older than Steve and has a Dark Mysterious Past TM

Bucky is the fourth highest ranking soldier in the Irish Mob, right behind Rollins (who’s a fucking nepo baby and only there becuz of brock, if you ask bucky and literally anyone else), but he fucking HATES being a criminal, and he’s only there because of his Dark Mysterious Past TM

What is his Dark Mysterious Past TM you ask? Well let me tell you 😌

He was a very very smart and bright kid who got A’s on all his tests, loved astronomy, science, and was just a complete science geek. Then one day his friend Natasha Romanov (WOOOO THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED IN THE STORY), brings him to a college party held by her older boyfriend Alexei (theyre married in the comics when shes about 17 and i love Nat angst). While there, sulking around, hating all of it and just wanting to be home watching Star Trek with a reluctant Becca, Bucky meets Science Professor Alexander Pierce (and the crowd starts throwing tomatoes at the cunt!!)

Basically Pierce is about fuckin 50 years old, and a creep, but extremely handsome and charismatic to Bucky, and coaxes Bucky into going on a date where they have sex (pierce had to pressure bucky over and over into it) and then continue to do it many times, ending up in a serious relationship after a few weeks

A few months later, Pierce is obsessed with Bucky, and Bucky is extremely flattered from all the attention and gifts he’s getting, completely forgetting to look at the huge red flags right in front of him due to him being so young and naive. Then one day, Bucky wakes up in Pierce’s mansion, and long story short: when he gets home he discovers that his Ma and sisters have been murdered in a burglary gone wrong

Pierce then offers to take in Bucky, and when he does, he moves them to Brooklyn, where Bucky is then basically isolated, and is only able to go places if Pierce and his bodyguards are right at his side, he’s only able to do online school and watch tv shows, but because of how sad and grieving he is, he loses interest in those stuff and basically gets addicted to making sure Pierce is happy and satisfied with him so he doesnt get kicked out

They marry the second hes 18, and the wedding is where he realises that Pierce is the Boss of the Russian Mob, and is undercover in the Irish Mob along with Joseph, Brock, Rolins and some others, and pierce manipulates him into not running by telling that this is Bucky’s opportunity for revenge, and tells him that his familys murderer is in the Irish Mob, and that that’s definitely the reason why Pierce is undercover, because he just cares so much and more lies blah blah

Bucky goes and finds the guy, andkills him, but right after, it’s revealed that bucky killing him was actually his official oath into the Russian Mob.

After that, everything is just dark for bucky; pierce gets straight up abusive, not even hiding the fact that he took advantage of bucky anymore and puts bucky to very hard work in the mob.

Pierce dies during a shootout with FBI Captain Nick Fury and his team when Bucky’s 25 but since they had been having a huge fight the month before his passing, bucky doesnt get given the title of Boss (which bucky was hoping for since he could try dissolve the mob from within and finally get out), Joseph does. He barely even gets 20% of Pierce’s stuff from the will.

Fast forward ten years or so, bucky now owns a club, and a nice brownstone with natasha (who is fifth highest ranking now) who occasionally lives there when shes not being the spy she is; he helps out the Irish Mob, is trying to work his way up the ranks to finally rid of his nightmare, and is just so Tired and Sad and Lonely.

THEN!!!!!!! One day he’s in his club with Nat, just finishing up business in his office and isabout to leave, when someone comes up and tells him that the door to the private room is locked and has been for two hours. Bucky barges in and finds Steve passed out on the couch naked, with only a sparkly blue thong on the floor next to him, various stains on his body , mainly his ass, a flushed face and neck that has many bite marks on it.

Bucky and Nat help him up to his office, nat leaves and when steve wakes up, bucky talks to him and lets him get cleaned up.

Okay this is very long now so im just gonna give you an actual brief explanation

Bucky finds out how long he’s been a private dancer, and fires brock for hiring a minor, but steve convinces him to let him keep his job as a dancer but with no private stuff, bucky relents because jesus that puppy eyed look really does work

Bucky keeps in touch, and pays his rent (which then leads to him paying half instead after steve finds out and out-stubborns him once again) and they get along but bucky keeps some distance because he knows that he’s Joseph’s kid and because of the whole ‘trying to get rid of joseph and his gang’, bucky doesnt want to risk it. But it is very hard because he likes the kid so much, and Steve is fucking Insatiable, constantly trying to flirt and is very clingy and touchy, which Bucky surprisingly doesnt mind

Steve disappears one day when he’s 21 (havent worked out a reason why but rn its just there for angst reasons)

Bucky finds him working in a strip club in Chicago two years later while on a businnes trip for Nick Fury.

The reunite and get along like nothing happened, and after hours of talking after Steve finishes his shift, Bucky asks him to come back and stay with him

I have no idea what happens after this

Three years later theyre in a loving relationship, steve finished college and has a sorta normal life, Bucky is close to exposing and arresting joseph and his gang, when steve finds out that Sarah was murdered from Brock

Brock tells him that it was Bucky, and his story is very convincing, and steve goes fucking Red

He interrogates bucky, and ends up exploding then leaving with Brock

And from there, i wont spoil it for you because thats how my fic is gonna start. I already have the ending figured out, and possibly a sequel

Sorry that was very long, but i have many many Thoughts about this AU and had to get it out. Theres still a few plot holes but once i actually start working on it properly ill fix them and make it better

Was rewatching netflix daredevil and daredevil born again season 1 before the new season and got to the new york heatwave episode and it made me think ... a stucky au where they work in the same office and there was a blackout due to a heatwave 🤔😌

The power was out at 2 pm.

One second, Steve was talking about deadlines, and a report due by end of day and the next, the office dropped into silence, no lights, no AC, no computers, nothing, just the stillness of a city overheating.

Bucky leaned back in his chair, staring up at the dead vent “You’ve got to be kidding me”

Steve stood, already rolling up his sleeves “Backup should kick in” it didn't...

Minutes passed, the heat settled in fast.

Bucky was the first to crack “Yeah, no, this is inhumane” he muttered, shrugging out of his jacket and tossing it aside, his tie followed “I feel like I'm gonna pass out”

Steve laughed faintly, but his focus slipped just for a second to the line of sweat running down Bucky’s throat, reaching his collar bone, and his bare chest now that his shirt was half unbuttoned.

He looked away too quickly but Bucky noticed.

Ten minutes later, the office felt smaller, Bucky’s shirt was completely unbuttoned and fully open now, sleeves shoved up, fabric clinging in places it shouldn’t.

He dragged a hand through his hair, exhaling sharply “How are you still functioning?”

“I guess I'm built differently” Steve said, though his voice was quieter than usual.

“Liar, it's okay to admit it you know, you don't have to act tough all the time, loosen up, unbutton your shirt, it's sticking to your body” His voice was lower and deeper in a way that Steve never heard before and it made him feel something that he couldn't describe, he didn’t answer because he didn't know what to say and he was too aware of everything.

Of the silence, of the way Bucky was looking at him, of Bucky, right there, too close even from across the room.

“Feels different, doesn’t it?” Bucky said.

Steve glanced up “What does?”

“This” Bucky gestured vaguely at the office, the quiet, the heat “Like everything’s… quiet and slowed down”

Steve swallowed “Yeah”

“Hard to focus” Bucky added, watching him more intently now.

“Yeah... It is”

Bucky smirked a bit “Yeah?”

Steve exhaled slowly “It’s distracting”

Bucky leaned forward, forearms on his desk “Distracting how?”

Steve hesitated, he shouldn’t answer that, he knew he shouldn’t, but the power was out, and it kanda made the rules feel… thinner somehow.

“It is slow and quiet yet feels like I can’t think straight” Steve said quietly “Like everything is also louder than it should be”

Bucky didn’t look away “Everything?”

And there it was, that line they had been circling for months, maybe even longer.

Steve met his eyes and that was the first mistake, because it made the space between them change.

It was still the same office, same desks, same walls, but it didn't feel like it.

Bucky stood first, slowly, Steve tracked the movement without meaning to.

“Yeah” Bucky said softly, stepping around his desk “I think I get what you mean” each step closed the distance.

The air felt heavier with every inch, Steve stayed where he was, even when Bucky stopped just short of him, close enough to feel the heat radiating between them.

“Careful” Steve murmured, voice rough around the edges “We’re still at work”

Bucky chuckled, tilting his head “Power’s out, Rogers” his gaze went from Steve’s eyes, to Steve’s rolled sleeves, noticing the tension in his hands, and the way he was standing too still, to his eyes again, then his mouth “Feels like that changes things”

Steve caught his breath, unable to speak, for a moment, neither of them moved.

Bucky lifted a hand, slow enough that Steve could stop him, but he didn’t.

Fingers brushed fabric at Steve’s sleeve, barely there, but it felt heavy, it was intentional, and they both knew where it was leading.

Steve’s jaw tightened “Bucky”

“Tell me to stop” Bucky said quietly, Steve didn’t.

The silence stretched and the distance between them disappeared, not in a rush, not all at once, but slowly, as if time was slowed down.

They were so close that they didn't know if the heat they were feeling was due to their closeness or the weather.

Bucky leaned in slowly and just as their lips almost touched, the lights snapped back on, the AC roared to life and reality crashed in, loud and immediate.

Bucky stepped back like he had been burned.

Steve exhaled sharply, dragging a hand down his face.

For a second, neither of them spoke.

Then Bucky cleared his throat, turning away, already buttoning up his shirt like none of that just happened.

“Power’s back” he said.

Steve nodded, though his pulse hadn't caught up yet.

“Yeah” he said barely audible.

And the air felt different, cooler, maybe, or maybe that was just because whatever was building between them didn’t disappear with the heat.
