Studyblr Post : Giving up.
It's really easy to give up on things when they're not going well, and I think it's something we should acknowledge in the studyblr community. Our community is so vibrant and supportive and full of positivity, but that doesn't mean you can't feel the bad too.
It's okay if you feel like giving up when you studied all week for your test and you flopped, when (like today for me) you worked really hard on your past paper and someone spilt food all over it 30 minutes before it's due. And to me that was just the final straw. I've been working like a dog most of the term, I'm tired, I want my holiday and that little event felt like the end of the world to me. I wanted to give up. Put my hands in the air and walk away.
And that feeling is okay. To feel like that is okay. Don't make decisions when you feel like that, don't hover around the cause when you feel like that. Step outside, move away and take a breath. Take another. Calm down and remember all situations are temporary. If you're feeling tired don't give up. Rest. Take a break, take a 2 day break, don't touch your books or you assignments until you're out of that 'I can't do this state'
