‘STYLISH STRANGERS’ BRIEF RESEARCH
These are some of the images that caught my eye while researching for some ideas on street/fashion photography that I could maybe use when I go to shoot this next week in Edinburgh. All these images caught my eye in different ways, for example:
I love the bright colours in the first image, the contrast between the yellow and the blue is something I really like. I will definitely try and take a few images with bright and bold colours featured in them.
I love all the different poses in each photo and it has given me a good few ideas on how I may want to pose the strangers I hopefully take a photo of.
Different angles is also a good thing as it makes the photos different from each other and means they aren't all too similar.
I also had to take into consideration how exactly I am going to approach these strangers and get them to let me take their pictures, here is what I find is best to do when working with strangers:
Tell them you're a student
Approach them confidently - confidence is key!
Comment nicely on what they're wearing, make them feel good!!! Tell them they look nice.
Tell them its only for a college project, it won't go anywhere!
It will only take a minute or so!
Important tips and factors to take into consideration:
Make sure you have a good background / pose sorted
Be prepared before you ask, plan it out and be quick!
Got to be taken in Edinburgh!
