Set up a short range transmitter to send the studio closed circuit video feed to this sweet portable I picked up at the flea market.
Scott, John, and Mariel in my first studio (subModern) in Central Falls, Rhode Island, 2010

Anytime I come across a photo of Scott now, it's an exciting day - so when I stumbled on this to-day, I had to post it.
Scott passed away five years ago this December.
Here Scott is sitting at my desk in my first studio, a 500 sq. foot room in a mill in Central Falls where we recorded a lot of music. In this photo we are recording for the Universes album 'Rocket Surgery' - Scott and his friend John had a music studio down the hall and would frequently drop in on sessions.
I knew him from the day he was born. We shared a passion for music from a young age - he was an incredible song writer and an excellent guitarist, but he was also a lost soul - too good for this world.
Later on in life we were band mates (again) and got to make two albums together (the Bendays - A Special Day & the Bendays - Wednesday) before he unexpectedly died. He was only 30 years old.

I don't post many photos from my studio, but it's where I spend the majority of my time and energy. This is from late afternoon during a long March tracking session. The studio is half below ground, so there are only about 35 minutes a day where we get direct sunlight through the windows.
