A lot of people kept saying “you must really like raisins to cosplay the Sun Maid girl” but I didn’t have the heart to tell them I actually hate raisins.

I actually was working on cosplay ideas for this con while also hungry and trying to find a snack. So that’s when I came up with the idea to cosplay a character from a food idea and the Sun Maid was the first one that popped into my head. It was actually a super simple costume! I found the skirt and shirt at Good Will and then bought the bonnet off Amazon. My mom had a basket and I filled it with grapes and raisins!

The biggest impact is the people I’ve met. I’ve met some of the sweetest, most talented people since I’ve started going to cons and they have all definitely had a big positive impact on me. I’ve really learned a lot about my own potential through cosplaying and cons. I’m actually a photographer and I’ve started to take my camera to conventions and taking pictures of people in their cosplays and taking and editing photos of myself and I’ve really been able to grow as an artist because of it.
