HC that something is always visibly slightly wrong with Jeremy whenever the SQUIP takes over his functions. Most people don't notice, it's so small. His limbs don't move as smoothly. Jeremy moves into a new house only to find out it's haunted by some ghost (or demon?) named squip. the ghost begins following him around, offering advice he didn't ask for. it doesn't take long before the boy is asking questions: why him? why help? what're the ghosts motives? what could the bigger picture be?
