Alfonse's revelations are...troubling. Heath approaches most things with a healthy dose of skepticism, and his claims are no exception. But they do seem to be true, to an extent; his knowledge of these shadowy attackers, of these Agarthans, was confirmed and expanded on by the Projectionist herself.
And then, there's the matter of that pointed remark about Legault, and the claims that he'd known them. Versions of them, at least.
It's not something Heath can simply leave alone.
"Alfonse." Best to approach directly. Alfonse himself seems to share that philosophy--perhaps a little too much so, with the knowledge he seems to have. "You said you've met us all before. So I presume you've met me before..."
Heath folds his arms, looking the boy up and down. Things grow more complicated by the day, in Fodlan. Information is dangerous to have, but he's already in deep. There's no going back. Besides, Heath is not one to remain ignorant of his own accord.
"How so? You promised a full explanation when we returned to the bunker. I am holding you to that promise."
"I suppose I did, yes," Alfonse sighed, casting a furtive gaze around them. Having people listen in on this particular conversation would be... troublesome, to say the least. Alfonse didn't much care to deal with the questions that would inevitably arise from anyone who overheard him. While it wasn't feasible to maintain his secrecy around everyone, and certainly not to do so perpetually, he would rather postpone those discussions as long as he could manage.
"Well, for starters, I'm sure you've already guessed that I'm not exactly a commoner," Alfonse began, trying to beat around the bush as best he could while he considered exactly how he wanted to phrase things. He'd been given plenty of time to consider this, but he'd failed to come up with anything that truly satisfied him. Even though Heath and the others likely expected Alfonse's explanation to be beyond anything they would consider normal, Alfonse wasn't particularly confident that they would have an easy time believing the truth about his home.
"I am the prince of my home nation, Askr, though that title doesn't exactly hold any meaning here. Askr is... how do I put this? It's... a crossroad between worlds, I suppose. We've several other worlds more directly connected to ours, but those are... not particularly relevant to this discussion. We'll save those for another time."
Having to explain the Dvergar's creations or the legions of the dead commanded by Hel would probably only frustrate this discussion further. Better to leave that be until Heath already believed him. If Alfonse could go without ever having to discuss those matters, it would be all the better.
"My bloodline is entrusted with the power to open doorways between worlds, you see. The royal family of our neighbor, Embla, holds the opposite power, that of closure. We are theoretically meant to work together to govern the realms available to us, but up until just recently, Embla and Askr were... not exactly on the best of terms. Intervention in the affairs of other worlds, save for those directly connected to us, is generally something we avoid. That being said, we do employ prominent figures from across a plethora of worlds, summoned under the boon of Askr-- er, the god who granted my bloodline our power, not the nation. You, or at least a version of you, are one such hero. So... it's a very complicated way to say the other you that I met was effectively doing mercenary work for us."
