Specializing in horror and science-fiction. Sam has illustrated album artwork and merchandise designs for rock bands such as Rob Zombie, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Ministry, Rammstein, Powerman 5000, Biohazard, DOYLE, American Head Charge, Fear Factory, HIM, ORGY, Godhead, 8MM and FILTER. Other clients include Coffin Case, ESP Guitars, Dean Guitars, Schecter Guitar Research and Pro Tone Pedals. His artwork can be found on the covers of more than 50 comic-books and graphic novels, including illustrations for the Angel series, 30 Days of Night, The X-Files, KISS, Mars Attacks, Judge Dredd, and the fully illustrated H.P. Lovecraft’s The Call of Cthulhu, Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. Sam Shearon has also created illustrations for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser comic book series and the animated Books of Blood. Sam is known for his work in the field of cryptozoology, compiling artist impressions from eyewitness accounts. He has created more than 30 book and DVD cover artworks for releases that cover the subjects of Cryptozoology, Ufology, Ghosts, the Supernatural, the Paranormal and all manner of the Unexplained - With clients including the documentary company 'Small Town Monsters', the podcast 'Into The Fray with Shannon LeGro', and authors David Weatherly, David Hatcher Childress, Whitley Strieber and Ken Gerhard. Are you ready for the next installment of our $20 Doodles? This time we begged the great Mark Bode to lend his talents to the cause! Mark Bode is a legend in both the graffiti and underground comic worlds. He is the son of the iconic cartoonist Vaughn Bode. His first professional job was for Heavy Metal Magazine when he was only fifteen, coloring his father's black and white strip Zooks, the First Lizard in Orbit. He was a fine arts major at The School of Visual Arts in New York City and studied animation and etching at San Francisco State University. His publications include GYRO COMICS, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, COBALT 60 (the graphic novel), GWAR comics, and LIZARD of OZ. Mark’s artwork has been written about in the NEW YORK TIMES, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE, JUXTAPOZ and TABU TATTOO. And his art has been exhibited in the New Museum of Contemporary Art, the Psychedelic Solution Gallery, Hyaena, Upper Playground Gallery, and has had art shows abroad in Berlin, London, Milan and Barcelona. Mark has designed multiple vinyl toys based on his father's characters for Kidrobot, Mike Company in Japan, and Planet 6. His work with major clothing companies has produced very popular Bode crossover lines of clothes for Marc Ecko clothing and Puma International. This is a rare chance to own a very affordable piece of art from a truly awesome talent. Mark is not taking requests, rather he has drawn 20 pieces for us. Each features one of his famous characters and is approximately 5”x5.5” black marker on sticker paper (how cool is that?!?). Purchased art will be randomly selected from the pile and mailed out immediately. If you purchase more than one, every effort will be made to insure you get different characters if possible.
