Review: Now my review for this is probably going to be short. I had been in the mood for some romance - type movie and this popped up on my list. Looked like something I could get into although the reviews were pretty bad and I had to find an alternative site to watch it from since my normal streaming site had the worst subs I have ever seen…. prob not the best English speaker converting those…. or maybe they made the translation the most literal they could. But it wasn’t even discernible English.
Anyway. Sadly, I can’t give this movie very high marks. The cuts in the film were all over the place and the plot was very disjointed. I can understand where they were going and what they were trying to do but it didn’t piece well together it all.
Considering this came from a comic it had a very close resemblance to Maid-Sama in some aspects. Although the main character wasn’t a loud spoken poor girl working in a maid cafe, there were other similarities that stuck out in my mind. Too many similarities to other anime/manga I’ve watched/read.
The character were hard to connect with and it felt like some were just thrown in there haphazardly. I know it’s a manga to movie adaptation but there have been much better adaptations than this.
If you have 2h to waste on this story, then by all means… see what it’s about for yourself. It’s not like I felt like it was a COMPLETE waste of my time… I just feel like it could have been made much better.
Im sure the manga is MUCH better... Ill have to take a look at it at some point and make another judgment call.
