How to publish a book on Amazon (eBook) step by step
To upload your eBook to Amazon, you have to create an account in the Kindle Direct Publishing of Amazon: KDP. Type in kdp.amazon.com and sign up. Choose Spanish language in a top tab on the left. If you do not have an Amazon account, the platform will ask you to sign up as a user.

When you register in the KDP you will be asked for a series of data. For tax issues, discharge is sometimes immediate and in others you have to wait hours or even days to have the agreement from Amazon. When you have it, you can upload your books.
Two tips: Fill in all the data. It is important that you give the tax data that the platform asks you if you want to avoid the retention of 30% of US royalties. You will not get rid of the 5% withholding, but this second option is better. It is also the time to give the information of your bank account, so that Amazon enters the royalties in this one instead of sending you a check that always takes more the collection.
The first thing you have to do when you are already inside the KDP is to click on the upper left button: "Add a new title".
Button: Add new title to the KDP
Now let's fill in eleven headings. The headings 1 to 7 are relative to details of the book
1. Enter the details of the book
You have to write in its corresponding box:
Name of the book: the title.
Series (optional): the name of the series if your book belongs to a series that includes several books. If this is not the case, you do not need to fill out this section.
Edition number (optional): If your book has more than one edition it indicates the number here.
Editor (optional): If you are you, you can put your name or leave it blank.
Description: insert the description of the book here (remember Step 6. The description: how to write a magnetic description).
First essential items to fill out
Contributors of the book: put your name and then select the author's box. You can also add co-authors, illustrators, translators, etc.
Language: Write the language in which the book is written.
ISBN (International Standard Book Number): Enter here the ISBN number, if you have one. If not, it is not necessary; Amazon assigns a unique number to identify each book called ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number).
2. Verify your publishing rights
Points to the option: "This is not a work in the public domain and I have the necessary publishing rights."
We must state the type of publishing rights we have with respect to the book. If in our book is contained under license that do not allow its commercial use we must select the option This is a work of public domain, seeing this way reduced our income, not being able to select another option more than the 30% of Royalties per unit sold.
3. Direct your book to customers
Categories: This is the section where you must choose the two categories (subcategories).
Section: Categories: Select two categories / subcategories
There are two optional sub-tabs. One called "Classification by age" is for books aimed at children or young people to indicate the age range most indicated and another called "Classification by degrees of the American educational system. Leave them blank.
Keywords: Type the seven keywords, or groups of keywords you have selected following the directions in step 1, separated by commas. NEVER leave this section blank. It's very important.
4. Select an option to launch your book
Most often, you choose the option: "I am ready to launch my book now".
You also have a second option that is to launch it as a presale: "Make my book available as pre-sale content". This allows you to offer your contacts the option of buying your book in pre-sales up to 90 days before the book's launch date. In the closed Australia SEO
5. Upload or create a book cover
In that section is where you upload the cover of your book. Amazon gives you the option to create from here a cover, from a series of templates but the result is poor. I do not recommend it. You know how important the cover is as a claim to your book. We use 99designs that for a reasonable price offers you a lot of proposals from different designers. You then choose and pay the one you like.
To upload it you must have prepared the file with the inside of your book in the appropriate format. You can do it yourself with the platform's own formats such as HTML (Zip), plain text (txt) or enriched (RTF), Word documents (.doc, .docx) or PDF and then convert them to Kindle Publisher. Although it seems simple, if you leave the "Kindle" standards of how the texts should be formatted will give you problems. It is better to hire the service of converting the text of your book to the appropriate one for Kindle. You will avoid complications and unnecessary troubles. It is most likely that you will be provided with the content in .mobi format.
The file cannot exceed 50 megabytes. Unless you have many pictures, you will not get over it.
It is important that you tell the designer that the content index of your book has the links to the corresponding chapters. This then makes it much easier to navigate your book to the reader.
There is also an option that I do not recommend you activate, which is to "enable digital rights management" (DRM). Books that incorporate DRM are sold less or much less.
And eye! If you have already enabled the DRM option, then you will not be able to change it.
7. Book Preview Australia SEO Company
Online preview lets you see how your book will look on most mobile devices (Kindle, Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, etc.). There is another option called "Downloader Previewer", which is to display the books on new Kindle devices: Kindle Touch or Kindle DX.
Once you have completed these 7 steps, click save and continue.
