As I mentioned in my last post, my Tamagotchi Connection '24 died after 7 long generations (I PROMISE I'll get around to writing about it sometime soon). To take its place, I've decided to start progress on my purple Digimon X2!

If I *do* keep this V-Pet's progress up-to-date on this blog (which I'll try my best to do), I probably won't take pictures of every cut-in Im able to on account of already having cut-in pictures for most of the 'mons on this device through the English silver-gold shell.

Let's see where this new journey goes.

I've been too damn tired to post about my digiman every time she evolved so fuck it, we doing it now before I sleep

First off, Otamamon X, one of the best Digimon sprites out there to be quite honest- I mean just look at her! Look, dammit, look! She's a literal emoticon what is there not to like???

Next up is Velgrmon. At first, I thought I wasn't gonna care for them because they're an anime-mon, but like, holy shit their sprites are REALLY good, gotta be some of my favorite avian sprites from recent memory.

And finally, hot off the presses of today, Mephismon X! Hohohooooooly shit, lemmie just say right off the bat, if Mephismon X was a demon lord, they'd probably be my favorite: a goat demon with a skeleton face that uses an umbrella to attack and also has fashion goals as their drip? Like, they made this Digimon for ME- might even be a new favorite now that I think about it.

Idk what I've said about XD device exclusives before, but this demon right here is probably my favorite exclusive, possibly even above the Seadramon X line. Such a fucking shame they're not also on the XCs as well, but I guess if they were, I'd never touch my XDs ever again lmao.

Also, fun fact, this Digimon is trans as fuck. Peep this excerpt from their Digimon Reference Book profile:

Oh hell yeah, its Super Ultimate Demon Lord(tm) time! This one is Belphemon X, my 2nd favorite Demon lord. It sucks that they're my 2nd favorite on the X2s because Belphemon X is only available on the (imo) interior XD devices. I guess their exclusivity on the XDs give them more rerun value, along with having the Seadramon X line as well. So damn thankful that my actual favorite demon lord is available on both X2s AND a PenZ, but I'm getting ahead of myself

Cherubimon X was real stuck at area 45 for whatever reason no matter how many times I threw them into the ring. After grinding Belphemon X to about level 8 or so, they blasted through it in like, 2 attempts, so good on ya for unlocking all the filler Herissmon and Duskmon lines... yaaaay...

After beating the quest mode, our demon lord needs a good long rest. Sleep well, Belphie. I'll try and keep you alive until your natural passing to aquire a traited egg.

I dont feel like doing the "This is [blank]! These are my thoughts on them!" shtick at the moment so just peep how my 2nd run with the XD is going so far. Maybe I'll edit this later to actually give my thoughts on these lil dudes, who knows.

Just like with the X1s, Tyrannomon X's best-care evolution is Metal Greymon X, this time obviously being the Virus one, and hoooly shit what a complete BANGER of a design.

My favorite part has got to be their arm-cannon, only visible in its attack animation. Like, just LOOK at it! The spriting on it just looks so damn pleasing to look at.

And of course, you can't have a Metal Greymon without a War Greymon. I'm pretty sure this is straight up just a recolor of War Greymon X, down to the closeup sprite being the same aside from its eyes I think? Regardless, I still think this dudes pretty damn cool.

I'm gonna try and get her through Area Special when I get the chance, but I might be occupied with other things, I'll see how it goes.

Oh man, here comes one if my personal favorite highlights in this device. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you:

Dark Tyrannomon X! Don't let the whale-shark-lookin-ass sprite fool you, this design is simply raw, like like Tyrannomon X before it in the X1.

Its just a shame about the sprite looking like that. Like it's supposed to be a twisted evil dinosaur who wants nothing but to flex its fighting abilities whereever it goes, but instead it just looks like a dopey sea creature. I mean, I guess there wasn't really any other choice, huh? Doesn't matter, because it means Dark Tyrannomon X gets to exist on this device and make it more peak than it already was.

Oh, and this is her with my brand-new microphone I got the other day- see, I told yall those colors match, huh?

We went down the jolly and whimsical good path the first time, now let's do the fucked up and twisted evil path.

First up is Black Agumon X, a badass little dino- I mean look at that closeup,they just look stellar, huh?

And look at her sleeping! I'm surprised a lot more digimon don't just sleep on their backs like this, but I guess that just makes it even more of a sight to see when a Digimon gets a "special" sleep animation, like LadyDevimon X in the last run.

Sad I forgot to take a picture before work, but I got a HyperX Quadcast mic on clearance to replace my possibly 6+-year-old Blu Snowball mic, and the colors of the mic and this XC match *perfectly*- I'll have to take a picture when I get home with whoever Ruby evolves into.
