➜ MASTERLIST
That same night — 9:10PM
Taiju is able to compose himself when he desperately needs to. It doesn’t come easy, it took years of quiet discipline to be where he is today — and for that he is proud.
Nothing sways him — luxurious cars, expensive gifts, fancy villas. He’s seen it all.
He could have it all.
He’s used to a certain level of control that’s allowed him to build and lead a business as successful as Anchor & Cross.
But what happens when that self-control begins to wither like an old flower?
What happens when that one thread of patience suddenly just… snaps?
The answer is closer to Taiju than he thinks.
The staircase to the underground parking lot is lit by a single flickering bulb. It might unsettle anyone else, but Taiju’s taken this path so many times, he knows it like the back of his hand. His feet move slowly, deliberately down the steps, but the adrenaline rushing through him urges him to run for his car.
He doesn’t. That wouldn’t be a flattering look for a man like him, Taiju thinks.
Finally reaching the lot, he takes a sharp left, eyes settling on his car — a charcoal-gray Toyota Crown, metallic and imposing. Its pristine condition is proof of the care he puts into the things he cherishes and values.
And then he sees you.
You’d let yourself into the car — something he appreciated — but it was the way you sat there that stopped him dead in his tracks. The sound of cars reeling outside echoed in the empty parking lot, the flickering ‘EXIT’ sign near the door was the only source of light in the vast space, Taiju wondered if you had freaked out when you finally got here.
Your posture, the drum of your nails on your bare thigh and the constant expectant look over your shoulder for any person that could pass by — your body was on high alert ever since the conversation.
Taiju wouldn’t refer to himself as a body language expert, but reading yours came to him like second nature. He doesn’t question why he feels so drawn towards you, why your mere existence was like a puzzle that he passionately wanted to solve, because he knows the answers to these questions.
He chooses to brush them off for the sake of a person the two of you loved very dearly.
However, upon reaching for the handle and meeting your eyes through the glass, he starts to wonder how much he values what Mitsuya would’ve thought of this — of the broken look on your face, the desperation he reads through your body language, of the blood that’s pumping directly to his dick.
Is he a bad person for going after his friend’s vulnerable, heartbroken ex-girlfriend? For wanting to tend to her emotional wounds in his own way?
He can decide that later. For now, all he wants is to get to you.
Taiju finally opens the door.
You don’t usually notice the size difference between you and the restaurant owner, but when he’s this close, it’s impossible to ignore — he has the size that could easily overwhelm you, something that you remember you used to find quite annoying about him in the past.
Your teenager self would look at you with so much disgust if she knew the thoughts swirling through your mind right now.
But as a grown woman? God, you can’t wait for him to overwhelm you with his size.
And just like that, the ache between your thighs returns.
“Hey, princess.” It’s low, masculine and sends shivers down your spine. You’ve heard him speak countless times but none of it compares to this very moment in his car.
“Did you wait long?” There is a playful smirk dancing on his lips, and it somehow makes you feel less nervous.
“Just about… ten minutes.”
“So, not a lot?”
You shake your head, twinkling eyes glued to his lips before nervously darting across his face. You were such a mess, Taiju’s head was practically spinning.
There were so many unanswered questions that hung in the air like stubborn smoke, some more important than others.
When did it get bad? Why get involved with a man like Hanma?
His Adam's apple bobs as he swallows the thick lump in his throat.
How could Mitsuya ever leave you?
He’s pondered over the latter more than he would like to admit. He remembers the mess Mitsuya left you in, a shell of yourself and barely recognizable. It took weeks, almost months to get you to smile genuinely again, even longer for you to trust anyone with your heart. And the person who sits before him at the moment painfully resembles that version of yourself.
It makes his muscles tense up and his jaw clench as his golden eyes trace over your face, drained of all color and shadows beneath your eyes like bruises even your makeup couldn’t cover.
Seeing you lose your spark over men who didn’t deserve you was painful to watch, but it always edged him to the same conclusion:
If Mitsuya and Hanma were too blind to treat you right, then he’d step in — and show them how it’s supposed to be done.
How a pretty woman like you should shed no tears if it wasn’t from overwhelming pleasure.
“Use your words, princess. Talk to me.” His hand cradles the side of your face.
His voice is low, dangerous in how it affects you. Shivers crawl down your spine. You’re certain he can feel the heat rising in your cheeks from the palm of his hand. Your brows knit just slightly (and God, did Taiju want to lose himself when you did that), and then you lean closer.
“You said you can help,” you whisper, voice trembling as if anything louder might shatter you completely.
It tugs at Taiju’s heart and hardens his cock.
You feel naked as the crack in your voice echoes, something akin to a whimper bouncing off the cushiony walls of the car. You hate how you feel, that you’re leaning on a man to ease the ache in your heart. But drastic times call for drastic measures.
“Oh did I?” He keeps the tension alive, his thumb brushing against your hot cheek. “Is that what you want?”
Your eyebrows knit again as they twitch, and Taiju can sense the slight shift in your attitude.
“Don’t.”
The ache doesn’t dissipate from your chest, but annoyance blossoms deep within your ribcage as you shoot Taiju a look.
Your relationship with the man was fairly strange. You’ve known each other long enough that you’ve memorized how to push each other to the limit, and Taiju seems to be using that to his advantage.
Using your Haitani nature to coax a reaction out of you.
“What?” He leans in just enough for you to feel his hot breath fanning against your lips. “You’re the one who’s a mess.”
You lean in closer, matching his intensity as you reply. “And you said you could fix it.”
“But how would I do that, hm?” He tilts his head in confusion, pinching your chin with his thumb and index finger. “Unless you spell it out for me with those pretty lips of yours.”
The tall man was a fan of dangerous games, and you would be damned if you didn’t at least entertain him.
“...I could just leave, you know.”
The threat is light, airy and holds no weight to it but a part of Taiju knows you. He knows whom you were raised by, but it doesn’t deter him from pushing your buttons further.
He smiles devilishly. “The door is open, princess.”
And for an instant, you consider leaving. You genuinely consider reaching for the door handle and getting out of the car, out of this game of chess you were certain of losing. But the longer he holds your face, stares at you so intensely that you can see his pupils dilating, the harder it is to walk out of this.
“You know what to do.” He states, low and confident. “Don’t you, Haitani?”
Your heart skips a beat and your lips part in shock.
“Beg me.”
You scrunch your nose in defiance. “No.”
His grip tightens on your jaw, and you gasp when he pulls you even closer. “Don’t be so fucking spoiled”
An involuntary moan escapes your lips, but you don’t budge. Where is the fun in giving in easily?
“Beg me to make the feeling go away, to make you forget about him.”
Taiju presses his forehead against yours, and you force yourself to gaze at him through your eyelashes.
“Beg for my fucking cock, princess.”
“I’ve never begged for anything in my life.” Your voice is barely above a whisper, shaky and unsure but it’s enough to pull a chuckle out of the man.
“Oh yeah?”
You gasp when you feel his hand between your thighs, quickly finding your panties and pulling them down in one swift move.
“So spoiled. So fucking spoiled.”
It sounds like he’s complaining, like the thought of putting up with your bratty behavior is such a heavy weight. But in an instant, Taiju’s leaning down and kissing you hard.
Years of knowing Taiju had numbed you to a lot of things. To the undeniable tension that has been brimming for years, to the unnecessary details he would share after going on a date with a woman.
“She was nice.” He can tell you were eyeing him suspiciously, not believing a single word that was coming out of his mouth.
“You don’t sound convinced.” You continue to swirl your drink, eyes raking over the party goers. You had been invited to a party thrown for Hakkai, and you found Taiju sipping on a glass of whisky.
“Just not my type, is all.”
“What is your type, Taiju?”
And just for a moment, a split of a second, you saw the side of his mouth twitch as he held your gaze for a second. Then another, and another — until you were painfully aware of the silence that had engulfed the two of you . You watched as Taiju downed his glass of whiskey in one gulp, hissing at the burn in his throat.
“You’re a nosey woman.”
Raised as a Christian, Taiju always saw relationships as sacred — something to cherish. He’s the kind of man who’s always prioritized building a future, starting a family over fleeting pleasures.
He tries to hold strongly onto these values as his hips snap violently against yours.
You don’t remember anything about the car ride back to your place. There were a couple of red lights and a suffocating silence that only grew thicker as you approached the familiar street of your neighborhood.
Then you got on the elevator and everything snapped.
You’ve had your fair share of strong partners in the bedroom, people who would showcase their strength by manhandling you or trying to fuck you against the wall. You couldn’t deny that it always got you off.
But this was different.
Taiju was like a beast, and you were starting to think that your body was far too fragile for this.
Your hands grip the pillow supporting your head, you have already cried off your makeup and you feel a large hand grip your jaw when you throw your head back at the overwhelming sensation of him being buried so deep inside you.
“I can’t—” you cry out, thighs burning from getting stretched by his large stature. You feel him lean down, his pelvis grinding directly against your sensitive clit that a choked sob leaves you. “Oh my god!”
“No no, keep your eyes on me,” he tightens his grip on your face, leaning down to press his lips against your cheek as he mumbles. “Right here, baby. Focus right here —”
You force your eyes to meet his, wet lashes and a broken look on your face forces a groan from the back of his throat.
“There we go. Knew you could be a good girl.” He leans up to nuzzle his nose against yours, and your lips meet in a messy wet kiss.
Your hands immediately tangle up in his hair, pulling at the strands on the back of his head as he kisses you deeply. There was something undeniably hot about the way he was ravaging your body, how he couldn’t seem to keep his hands off of you even as you weakly tried to protest that you had sweated too much.
“You smell like me,” he mumbles against your skin as the tip of his cock probes at your folds. You whine, thighs trembling and your nails practically digging in his skin.
“Taiju…”
“Do you need a break?” he pulls away to ask, his hair sticking to his sweaty forehead. You shake your head, your hands then sliding up to cup his face.
Taiju sees you. Your lips part, your eyes gloss over with some strange emotion he can’t pinpoint but he chooses to focus on the way your breath picks up as he leans into your touch.
“Kiss me.”
If it meant having you look up at him like he hung the stars, Taiju would keep you beneath him for a while longer.
— 11:20PM
You discover that gentleness can only last for a bit before you and Taiju go back at it immediately.
Years of poking fun at one another, harmless jokes and undeniable sexual tension came undone that night.
You had often joked with the man about how he looked like he was the traditional type, that he probably viewed sex in such a boring way. It often earned you a chuckle from the restaurant owner, a hum that told you he acknowledged what you were saying but wasn’t going to entertain you one bit.
Finally, you understand why he’d ignore your comments no matter how bratty they were.
A hand presses on your shoulder blades, the suffocating weight of him pushes you down against the mattress and forces you to take everything he gives you. No amount of whining, crying out his name and a hand gripping his wrist stops the man from plowing into you from behind with a force that knocks the wind out of your chest.
“F-Fuck,” you bite down your lip, your pussy yielding the stinging pressure of his fat cock nestling against your walls. It’s barely a fit — you’re not sure how anyone can be this big.
“I need— oh my god.”
Taiju isn’t doing any better than you. His cheeks are flushed, hair sticking to his forehead and the vein in his forehead is prominent as he has to physically restrain himself from giving you all of him at once.
He knew doggy-style was his favorite, but doing it with you gave it a whole other meaning.
“What do you need, girl?” there’s a deep growl in his face, his hand fists your hair as he pulls your head back. You gasp when you feel his lips against the cartilage of your ear. “Tell me, use your words.”
“Fuck—” you cry out, your hands desperately reaching towards the headboard in front of you. “I need you to—”
The words die down on your tongue, your forehead resting against the wood of the headboard. This felt like a humiliation ritual, you could not get the words out.
A loud smack echoes through the room, your back arches as you yelp.
“You need me—” he leans closer, his lips pressed against your hot cheek whilst his hand wraps tightly around your neck. “--to what?”
Through teary eyes, you let out a sob. “Fuck me harder. Please.”
His eyes twinkle as though you had opened the gates of heaven with your bare hands.
The head of his cock is sliding impossibly slow against your folds, but then he starts speeding up and you allow it to happen — your body opens by instinct, allowing him to give you everything he had to offer.
Deeper and deeper, his cock is reaching spots that have your eyes rolling to the back of your head.
Taiju is merciless with the way he fucks you, but a hand still reaches down to soothe your side even as the tip of his cock bruises that soft, spongey spot inside you. He is mean, but he still leans down to press his chest against your back. He is fucking the thought out of your head, but he still mouths messy kisses against your sweaty and warm cheek.
You melt against his kisses, leaning towards his touch with every calculated thrust of his hips.
“Taiju,” you whimper out, your eyes finally opening to meet his own golden ones. An involuntary whimper escapes your lips. “Taiju, please,”
Taiju almost short-circuits from behind you, his lips parting and closing repeatedly.
“What is it, princess?”
“Hold me.”
It’s evident that you’re far too absorbed by the pleasure to make sense of what you are demanding, but Taiju doesn’t need to be told twice before his arms wrap around your middle. He keeps his chest pressed against your back as he continues to fuck into you.
“Is this what you want? Pretty girl just needs some loving.”
“Mhmm…” his words are starting to blur together, but you can still make sense of what he is saying. He is praising you, he is calling you pretty and fuck it was getting to your head.
It aches when he withdraws his cock, only to thrust back in deeply, pressing against that same spot over and over and over again. Until the coil in your stomach snaps and you’re crying out pathetically against the fabric of your pillow. Your body thrashes in his hold, stuttering and trembling while he tightens the grip around your middle to keep you flushed against his chest.
“Uh uh, stay right here.”
“Taiju!”
“Easy pretty girl,” he keeps the sharp thrusts, freeing one of his hands so he can move your hair away from your face. “I’m not done with you, yet.”
You don’t have time to question what he means as he continues to bully your pussy with sharp, calculated and mean thrusts of his hips. His cock prods the same spot repeatedly and aggressively — it’s all overwhelming.
One of your hands reaches behind you to where your bodies connect, then it slowly slides up to his pelvis and you try to push him away.
“I’m cumming— fuck!” your orgasm washes over you in violent waves, and your pussy throbs and tightens around Taiju in ways that has him practically growling in your ear.
“Fuck, fuck—”
It doesn’t take long before Taiju is pulling out of your tight walls, earning him a high-pitched whine from you as he spills all over your back. He lands on his back next to you, his chest heaving as he tries to catch his breath.
“Did ya whine?”
When he gets no response from you, he turns to face you and sees that your breathing was slowing down and your body was way too relaxed for his liking. Immediately, he jumps into action.
“Ey,” his hand grabs your face and your heavy eyes flutter open.
“...hm?”
“Now isn’t the time to be sleeping beauty. Ya gotta shower first.”
You furrow your eyebrows at him, and Taiju could’ve sworn that your attitude gets brattier each time he asks you to do something.
“I’m sleepy.” You announce, but don’t try to pull away from his grip.
“I don’t give a fuck, get up.”
Your hand wraps around his wrist, trying to push him away. “I can’t move, leave me alone.”
“You got cum on your back.”
“Not the only place I’ve gotten cu—”
Without a word, Taiju gets up from the bed and walks to your bathroom. A few moments later, you hear him speak.
“I’m grabbing the pink one.”
“Huh?” you raise your head to see what he was referring to. You see him walk towards you with the wet pink towel, and instantly you’re jolting off the bed.
“I use that one for my face!”
Taiju has a devilish smirk on his face. “Get in the shower.”
—
Worse than telling a lie, is spending your whole life staying true to a lie.
It’s way too early for the self-loathing, the regret that’s washing over your bare body like a cold shower. Your brain is running at a thousand miles an hour, and the weight that drops over your shoulders is almost impossible to ignore from the moment you open your eyes — then you feel it.
Feel him.
His broad shoulders, the blue strands spread messily across the pillow and the beautiful cross sign carved with ink, from his nape all the way down to the small of his back. His soft snores, a peaceful expression that you had rarely, if not ever seen on the man.
Your eyes sweep across the room. It’s still too early in the morning, the sun wasn’t up just yet but you can still make out a couple of items in the room. From the night stand on your left, the digital clock flashing ‘4:53A.M’ brightly in the dark, to the pile of clothes scattered on the carpeted floor.
You spot your panties thrown near the door, your bra next to it and your skirt a couple of feet away. Then next to your bed is a suit jacket, suit pants and a brown leather belt. The flashbacks only intensify when you look down at your own body, the love bites littered across your skin serve as a loud reminder of last night’s events.
Of the mess he made of you.
Your face is as hot as a furnace as you sit up against the headboard.
The flashbacks come in strong waves, sending shivers down your spine. You were a grown woman, you’ve had your fair share of hookups, you’ve slept with ‘The reaper of Shinjuku’ of all people — and yet no one has ever rocked your world the way that Shiba Taiju did.
Taiju was an attractive man; he was a business-man that had the charms that swayed people’s hearts, the intelligence that granted him the success he deserved and most importantly, the experience in bed that had your breath hitching in the back of your throat.
You’ve known the man for as long as you can remember, you’ve gone through the entire spectrum of emotions with him; from hatred to tolerance, reproach to acceptance and then friendship.
Depending on how someone might define friendship.
So there you were, in bed with the same person you argued with everyday from your teenage years up until your breakup with Mitsuya. The realization doesn’t dawn on you until you feel an arm wrap around your middle, firm and possessive in its hold.
“Why the hell would you be awake right now.” Your soul almost leaps through your skin at the deep voice, and you hurry to pull at the blankets to cover yourself (and whatever’s left of your dignity).
That earns you a chuckle from the man. With tired eyes and a sleepy look, Taiju raises an eyebrow at you, thoroughly amused. “Cat got your tongue?”
“I…” you stammer as your eyes try to stay locked with his, but they accidentally travel down and lord — your nails made a mess on the man’s back.
“No.”
“Then act like it.” he raises his head just enough to be able to bury his face in your bare stomach. “You weren’t quiet when I was fucking you last night.”
“Shut up, oh my god.” you groan to yourself, but Taiju catches the words before they hit the carpeted floor. You shiver as you feel his lips press a warm kiss against your stomach.
“Alright then, princess. What do you want me to do then?” he asks, his voice a low, rough murmur that pulls at something inside you.
You say nothing in return, your hand resting atop his head. You pat the messy hairs with a gentleness that has the man’s breath catching in his throat for a moment.
He raises his head, and even in the darkness of the room, you catch the veil of lust and something tender over his golden eyes.
“Let me eat you out, baby.”
You sigh as he presses yet another kiss against your skin.
“Okay.”
Which then resulted in the two of you staying in bed for a few more hours. By 11AM, you were already out of bed, freshly showered and ready to start your day. It wasn’t an easy task with Taiju being in your apartment, looking awkward as you hand him a pair of old sweatpants from an ex-boyfriend of yours.
“The fuck do I look like, a midget?” He scowls as he grabs the clothing item. “These won’t fit me.”
“Do you prefer being naked?” You shouldn’t have asked.
“Ya don’t seem to mind it—”
You sigh, fighting the heat crawling up your neck. “Wear the sweatpants please.”
— 11:30AM.
“Are you hungry?” you ask from the kitchen, and Taiju gives you a quiet chuckle as he leans back against the couch, resting his arm behind it as he shoots you a questioning look.
“You’re tryna impress me, girl?”
You roll your eyes, reaching for the apron on the kitchen counter. “God forbid I want to make food.”
“Impress me then.” Now it’s your turn to shoot him a look.
“I’m not trying to impress you.”
He shrugs his shoulders. “And I’m not a Christian man.”
“Yeah, yeah right.”
The atmosphere feels lighter than what you thought, it could be because you Taiju wasn’t a stranger or someone you were trying to date. Either way, you appreciated the absence of the dread that usually accompanied you after sleeping with someone unexpectedly.
The blue-haired man eyes you as you plate your food, then you grab your remote control and walk towards him.
“You an IPad kid?”
You approach him with a plate of food, handing it to him before sitting on the carpeted floor next to his legs. At this point, you’ve gotten used to his little insults. “Don’t you play music at your restaurant?”
“Your point?”
You point your fork at the man. “You don’t let your clients eat in silence, why should I be ashamed of being an IPad kid?”
He looks like he is genuinely thinking about it, then he crosses his arms over his chest. “Do you have to watch something every time you eat?”
You give him a look. “I live by myself. If I don’t do that, I’ll go crazy.”
“I live by myself too.”
“You eat in silence?” You stare at him in disbelief, like the revelation will have him stoned to death.
“I own a restaurant, I deal with shitty ass people.” He stabs his food with his fork. “Eating is the only time where I don’t get someone bitching in my ear about how the ‘fish tastes fishy’ or some shit.”
You snort at his mimicking, covering your nose. “I never thought you had that voice in you.”
There is a playful smile on his face as he shakes his head. “That job makes you discover shit about yourself, believe me.”
You smile back at him. “Clearly.”
“Why you on the ground?” Taiju raises an eyebrow as he brings the fork to his mouth. “Ya think now’s the time to give me head?”
You punch his thigh, scooting away from him. “You pervert!”
“Right, right. Just come sit next to me.”
You begrudgingly join him on the couch, hugging your knees to your chest as the remote sits next to you.
“So? The show’s not picking itself.”
“We’re watching something I like?” You question, and you see Taiju shoot you a look.
“Like you’d let me pick.”
You grin at him. “Criminal Minds it is.”
“2005?”
You nod. “Basically how long we’ve known each other.”
Taiju snorts, shoving his face in his food. “And they say romance is dead.”
Your face scrunches up, and you nudge him with your elbow. “Ew, don’t say that.”
The next couple of hours go by in a blur. You don’t remember how many episodes the two of you watched, but then at one point Taiju’s phone starts ringing and you feel his arms loosen up their hold around you as he reaches for the device.
“Shiba Taiju.” He answers with a groan. You decide to give him a bit of privacy, so you try to slip off the couch to find something to do.
However, the tall man immediately grabs the back of your shirt as he sends you a look.
What the fuck are you doing?
“Yeah, yeah we talked about that deal a month ago.” He furrows his eyebrows at you and you shake your head.
“I’ll let you talk.” You whisper in return, waving your hand at him. “I’ll be in the kitchen—”
Immediately, he pulls you back against his chest as he continues to talk.
“I don’t do half-assed deals.” His hand finds itself buried in your hair, and you ignore the way your heart skips a beat at the gesture. “Tell them to call me when they know what they want.”
Your hand shyly rests on his chest, and you raise your head to look at him. “Work deal?”
“Yeah,” he runs a hand over his face. “Don’t do that again.”
“Hm?”
He gives you a look. “Getting up cause I got a call.”
“It looked like an important call so—”
“Yeah, I’ll get up, not you.”
You chuckle at the seriousness of his tone. “If you say so.”
“Unfortunately, I gotta go.” He slowly sits up and you slowly get off his chest. “Ya don’t need anything?”
You get up and start stretching, shaking your head. “No, I’m all good.”
Taiju nods. “Think my clothes are dry?”
“Oh yeah, I’ll grab them for you.”
He waves his hand as he walks towards the balcony door. “Nah, I saw you hang them on the balcony. I’ll go get them.”
It takes him only a couple of minutes to get dressed. As you wait by the door, an ache settles in your chest and grows into a heavy lump in your throat the moment he puts on his shoes.
You don’t understand why your eyes gloss over, or why your lips tremble as your hand reaches for the door knob. You try to suppress these emotions as he stands up tall, and you hand him his car keys with a smile.
Taiju leans down, his lips brushing against your cheek. “See ya tomorrow?”
You stand there dumbfounded, blinking at the man. “Tomorrow?”
He tilts his head at you. “Ya got work?”
You shake your head. “No.”
“Then, see ya tomorrow.” He presses a kiss to your cheek, letting you open the door for him and you watch as he disappears inside the elevator.
His footsteps are confident as he crosses the pavement, and by the time he reaches his car, a proud smile is already dancing on his lips. He slides into the driver's seat, a satisfied look on his face.
When he looks up, he spots you looking down at him from the balcony. The tiny wave you send his way, the hesitant smile on your face as he waves back and your overall excitement makes Taiju feel like a new man.
A man who is winning in life.
