@talesofdebt — ludger
Ludger squirmed against the restraints, very nearly panicked by the very idea of being trapped. He didn’t like feeling trapped. He hated feeling trapped. His gaze drifted over to who spoke, eyes going wide a moment later. Why would...
That didn’t make sense...
“Plum...?”
their head lay rest in their hand as they stared to their captive. why did they do this? for answers of course. ❝ i don't need you running away or avoiding things right now with me which is why i chose to do this ludger. ❞ the jeweler spoke as they moved to sit on the floor before him.
❝ i want answers. ❞ they state as they look him in the eye. ❝ ludger where have you been running off too so often when you get those calls? ❞
"Hey there, been a long time."
"Ludger? Ludger!" Runs over and practically hops onto the man giving him a koala-like hug.
@talesofdebt so the fun begins:
Oriole was...scared. Yes. He wasn’t entirely sure how he had gotten into this situation. He stared at Star with wide eyes. Yes...he believed that Star loved him and that he wouldn’t hurt him...
But...Oriole was finding he couldn’t exactly move at the moment. Which only made him more afraid..
“H...how...did I get here...?” Oriole’s voice was shaking.
“I carried you while you were sleeping-- I’m a bit surprised myself you slept through the whole trip.” Julius used to say he was a very heavy sleeper; the same probably applied to Oriole. “As for why....”
“We were already home by the time I realized you were in my arms. Holding you just feels so natural to me that I didn’t process I was doing so until I had to set you down.” In other words, Star couldn’t remember why he chose to bring Oriole back to his home. Somewhere in him he felt satisfied now that they were both here, but the man couldn’t begin to explain the logistics.
What Star could process is Oriole’s terror directed at him. Sort of like Julius back when he--... maybe he’d be better off asking than assuming. “Are you afraid of me now...?”
"Long time no see, Gilandor."
Well that is unexpected; Ludger? Gilland had surmised that the young man was up to his elbows in more work or fetch quests (is that what the kids called it?) than usual so he had half expected not to see him again for a long while. Lo and behold though, just when the man had suspected he would not speak to him again for a good long while did Ludger appear. “It has been a long time, Ludger. I hope you have been doing well?”
🌹 a pink rose from Oriole <3
Send “🌹” for your muse to give mine a rose.Optional: send the colour too
“Oriole, you flatter me. The moment I see you in a long time, and you’re already giving me presents? If I were a skeptic, I’d say this rose was to distract me from you being gone so long. But hey, if it is, it’s definitely working. It’s beautiful, Oriole. I’d expect nothing less from you.” The man did know him long enough to touch on Star’s soft spots. Not that it bothered him; he liked to be spoiled and surprised once in a while. And surprise gifts from a friend gone MIA for a while? That did the trick.
“I’ll be sure this goes in the fancy vase. I only use the fancy vase for the really special flowers, just so you know.” Star dug through a cabinet to take out the vase he mentioned. It was made of white ceramic, accentuated with small blue flowers that ‘sprouted’ from the front. He placed the vase in the middle of the dining table (after filling it with a bit of water and plant food) and set the rose inside. That’d definitely brighten the apartment for a while.
“Perfect, right? Now I can wake up every morning and think of how much you care about me. Hehe…”
“Your concern is appreciated, but I’m fine.”
“You say this and I don’t believe you in the slightest.” Gilandor chastised lightly as he approached the young Kresnik. A small tut tut under his breath at Ludger’s adamant behavior against being helped, but such were his ways. “In your eyes I see worry there, and maybe an ounce of pain. Do not tell me you’re fine.”
