When: Present Day (Evening) Where: Slug & Jiggers With: Alastor @talldarkandmoody
He preferred to work in the evenings. The shop changed from a place of business to his own workshop, no need to leave concoctions half-stewing to attend to a customer, merely him, blessed silence, books and a cauldron. It was perhaps the most peaceful yet most productive part of his day. Bloise was using a set of brass scales to delicately measure out his next ingredient while flicking his eye to a self-stirring cauldron, occasionally picking up his wand to flick and causing the stirring to change or stop. There was a perfect rhyme and rhythm to every movement.
Deep brown eyes focused on a wall-clock for half a second then returned to the scales as they balanced perfectly and he poured the fine powder he’d been measuring into a small glass bottle. He walked around the island in his own potions lab and tapped the simmering cauldron lightly with his wand before covering it with a lid and pulling a lever build into it so that holes were uncovered and a little steam could escape.
He’d just completed his work when a knock sounded at the backdoor and he quietly walked over, already knowing who was there; they had an appointment. “Good evening, Mr. Moody,” he said with a small nod, “Please come inside.” his voice was soft as he beckoned the other in from the darkness and closed the door behind him, “I’m relieved to see you’ve managed to remain unharmed investigating the killings Sir.” he added, the thought of those senseless deaths curled like a viper in his gut but he forced the feeling down.
