(the two birds because idk which of the two are in the movie's version of the black family crest, as in, I can't tell)

• a hound or a puppy hound (from original handrawn version of the family crest)

Taro, (Ignus x Piper) has had a pretty hard start to life. Their egg got attacked by a hen a day before hatching and was completely crushed. I took the smooshed egg inside, set up an incubator, and gently peeled away the egg shell so that it wouldn’t dry and get stuck to the baby’s skin. They still haven’t quite finished absorbing their yolk, and they have curled toes and in-turned legs, but they are vibrant, feisty, and full of life. I have high hopes for survival, even if they end up walking a little funny.

I'm on a quest to ask people the story/reason behind their tumblr username and this was especially because of a friend who has a username that reads like a poem. Now I'm just asking people with usernames that sound lovely and intriguing. Or usernames I can't quite get a straight story from.

honestly there's no big reason behind it, i just wanted to change battlehamster because of a myriad of reasons but mainly because there were a lot of bad memories attached to it, midnights had just come out, i had 'lavender haze' on my brain, and i was literally just riding the bus when it hit me, it was quite random tbh, but i'm attached to it now LMAO
