rubin wanted to take a giant leap away from the typical matching interview outfits with calix & golden, as that would be expected given their relation. having never been a fan of the careers, rubin decided to make a statement that only he would understand. the red symbolising all the blood he’ll likely be covered in when he’s in the arena. though it still has the typical district one-isms with an air of sophistication about it. the top hat & cane just ooze class & the sliver glitter sprinkled across his face is a nod to luxury.
similar concept to calix yet expressed in a different way. rubin wanted to embrace what he feels are the two sides to golden. the angelic-faced, blonde, barbie doll & the devil that lies within. the red around her eyes a lips from afar looks like pretty red flowers but when you get close up it’s chaos. symbolising the bloodlust. her hair sits in a unique fashion that rubin determined was a close to devil horns he could get without it being obvious. he may have tugged a little hard on the hair whilst braiding. the contrasting look is nonetheless breathtaking. full rubin fashion.
Does your character have a birthmark or any scars? How did they get them?
He has a scar just under his hairline where a rock hit him when he got caught under the cave in back in his games. He’s also got a slash mark on his wrist where he cut his hand on a broken glass whilst drunk.
Where does your character go when they’re angry?
The obvious answer is to a bar. Any bar that served alcohol. Even now he’s sober he would still go there just to smell it. He hasn’t yet been angry enough to seek that out though.
What is in your character’s refrigerator in their home?
Empty bottles of booze. He chucked out the drink but has kept the bottles for sentimental value. Sometimes he drinks water out of them to feel like one thing hasn’t changed.
When your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it?
Dwight doesn’t remember much about his childhood kitchen but he remembers Ma’s. If he would stick around in the morning for her to wake up he’d smell toast. She liked hers well done so it often smelt like it was burnt.
What does your character do on Saturday mornings?
Sleep in until noon so he doesn’t have to face half the day. He’s not a morning person at all.
Do they cry in front of others?
Never. The only time he’d ever even possibly do so would be if he was drunk. But Dwight isn’t able to remember any of that.
When did they last make a promise?
To his doctor. ‘Promise me you’ll try to stop drinking’ It was incredibly light hearted when he said okay and he hadn’t expected himself to keep it. However, something in his brain told him to stick it out.
Do they believe in love at first sight?
As a man with four divorces it might seem obvious to say yes but It actually takes Dwight some time to warm up to someone, especially now. When he does he falls hard though. He just hasn’t let himself get to that point in a long time.
Do they have any phobias?
Dogs. He was attacked by one as a kid when he was trying to steal something from a homeless man.
What is their favourite colour? Why?
Black. He likes it purely because he can use the line ‘Black, like my soul.’
What is their motto?
His main one is ‘If you don’t try you can’t fail.’ but it depends on his mood.
What ridiculous grudges do they hold? (ie: that time someone never gave their favorite pen back, their 5th grade teacher making fun of them, something a friend said when they were in middle school)
The biggest grudge he holds is one that he doesn't really believe he’s holding but he has his issues with rebels based on the fact that his mother left him to join them. Like a spiteful child, he blames them because she’s not around to blame.
What three words would others use to describe them?
drunken old bastard.
If they could choose their epitaph for their grave, what would they choose?
‘Lived a lot longer than any of you thought I would.’

Is neither an option? He’d probably pick game night with his family because he doesn’t have any so he’d get to just play poker by himself.

Since Dwight doesn’t care what people think about him he’s very obviously going to rock out. Anything from the 80′s is a winner for him. However, Rick James ‘Super Freak’ would get him up and dancing little miss sunshine style. He likes that it has the word kinky in it.

Not even close to classy. If he had to be one it’d be sassy, just because of his wisecracks.
Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
Strangely, wisdom. As someone with hidden intelligence he admires it in others.
In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?
Self-deprecating. If he were to actually listen to all his criticism seriously, he’d probably believe that he had no redeeming qualities. It’s his coping strategy.
How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?
Yes. The only time he’s actually truly meant it was with his first marriage.
When faced with a bug in their home does your character let them go outside? Do they squash them? Do they burn the house to the ground? Or do they ignore them?
Burn the house to the ground. Dwight doesn’t like small creatures as he feels they are going to creep into one of his bodily orifices whilst he sleeps and live inside him.
What boosts your character’s confidence the most?
Compliments or alcohol. Sometimes both. He doesn’t get a lot of the first and since he’s not drinking at the moment, his confidence is at an all time low.
Does your character snore?
Yes. Sometimes even louder deliberately if someone has woken him up. It’s something he started doing when people in the tower didn’t realise that he should not be woken.
Does your character like storms?
He does. He liked the image that the storm is making everyone else as miserable as he always feels.
What is a specific headcanon you have for your character?
Dwight is a LOT smarter than he lets on. However, he learned a long time ago that pretending to be stupid let him get away with things because ‘he didn’t know any better’ people think that his cave in plan was just luck but he’d actually planned it, right down to where the careers would be standing.

The worst and main one is on the one on her neck left as a present by the career boy that almost killed her at the end of her games. She had her tattoo done just beneath it as a reminder that something beautiful came out of her survival. Her family.
Where does your character go when they’re angry?
It used to be the orchard but now it’s the roof of the tower when there’s no one up there. It’s a good place to scream. She doesn’t care if the capitol is watching her.
What is in your character’s refrigerator in their home?
Every kind of cooking supply that someone could need. She’s always overstocked her kitchen because she was used to seeing her grandmother cook for all the orchard workers and then eventually cooking for them herself. She likes being prepared incase her family come over and sometimes cooks things for the poorer families in town and leaves them on their doorsteps.
When your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it?
Her grandmothers broth. It didn’t have any particular smell, just whatever they had available to make it with. That’s what she always thinks of though. Sometimes she can still smell it when she stands in her kitchen and closes her eyes.
What does your character do on Saturday mornings?
When she’s not in the capitol or doing rebellion things Seeder gets up early and goes into town just to help out with anything or just say hi to people. She slowly makes her way to her Paxton’s house and stays for a bit, cooking lunch for him and his family before heading home. She just loves the simple life.
Do they cry in front of others?
She’s always tried not to. She believes that she needs to be strong to not make others cry. When Ari died she didn’t like crying in front of Quentin because she knew he wasn’t taking it too well. However after his death Paxton almost forced her to let it out and they cried together. The only other time she cried is when her granddaughter was born.
When did they last make a promise?
To Paxton. A promise that she would never let anyone touch his daughter or hurt her in the way they’d hurt hers

She used to when she met her husband and thought about her grandparents. After he left she got a bit disillusioned with the whole concept until Paxton met his wife and she saw how deeply they fell for each other. It caused her to remember the feeling. So yes, she does believe in it now.
Do they have any phobias?
Losing another child is an obvious one. Autophobia is another one. The fear of being alone. She’d not a big fan of snakes either.
What is their favourite colour? Why?
Yellow. It’s calming and happy.
What is their motto?
Keep fighting even when you think you can’t fight anymore.

Game night with her family for sure. She treasures her time with them more than anything.

Depends on who she’s with. If she’s with people she’s not familiar with she’ll just smile along. If she’s with her family or friends she does the Seeder equivalent of rocking out: bobbing her head and miming along to the words. Her favourite song is ‘Daydream Believer’ because it makes her smile.

Classy with a hidden sassiness that only her closest friends get to experience.

Smart people can be unambitious. Ambitious people can lack intelligence. Seeder admires people who can possess both attributes as well as a moral compass.

Willig to improve. Seeder doesn’t believe she’s perfect.

It’s not difficult if Seeder really loves a person. However it takes her a while to warm up to someone in a way that would equal love.

What is a specific headcanon you have for your character?
Seeder keeps her granddaughter hidden from the public eye as she knows the capitol could use her against her. She took her mother's maiden name and rarely goes out in public. She knows it’s not healthy but it’s better than being reaped for the games. Adra is still happy.

Dahlia has plenty of scars from her several adventures into the woods. Plenty on her back from falls from trees, a few from deep cuts with knives before she knew how to use them. Her knees also have several marks on them from all the crawling she’s done. However her worst scar is the result a deep gash across her hand that happened after she accidentally dropped one of her mother's vases after her death and spent hours trying to put the sharp pieces back together with her bare hands.
Where does your character go when they’re angry?
Under the floorboards where the tunnel to the woods is in her home. She remembers counting sixty, sixty times so when she’s angry she goes and does a similar thing. It calms her down, remembering what her parents gave up for her to be alive. It does sometimes make her more angry.
What is in your character’s refrigerator in their home?
Stuff that really shouldn’t be in a refrigerator. Because Dahlia’s electricity was turned off a long time ago nothing can be kept refrigerated so she uses it as storage. Currently there is half a jar of honey, some bandages, crackers, a couple of hunting knives and a rock she found that she thought looked like a rabbit.
When your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it?
Ginger. Her mother used to add it to a lot of things to make it taste better when their food was bland. There was lots of it in the stock under the floor.
What does your character do on Saturday mornings?
Sleep in as much possible but as that’s not in Dahlia’s nature so she usually has a quick breakfast and then goes out into the market to beg for or steal some food. She doesn’t go out in the woods on Saturday much because there are too many people around that might see her through the fence.
Do they cry in front of others?
Only if it would serve a purpose. Sometimes if she’s hungry she’ll go out to the markets or sit on a street corner and cry until someone gives her something. She has yet to experience a time when she had genuinely cried in public. It could happen though.
When did they last make a promise?
To her parents when they asked her to run fast. She continued to keep her promise whenever anyone chased her.
Do they believe in love at first sight?
Only when it came to her parents. She can’t imagine anyone being able to fall in love at first sight if they aren’t them. Even though they didn’t technically fall in love at first sight, she believes they did.
Do they have any phobias?
Wasps. She’s been stung a few times and wasn’t able to kill them in revenge as they flew away. Naturally they are her mortal enemy.
What is their favourite colour? Why?
Maroon. She found a scarf in her mother’s closet after she died that was that colour and treasures it.
What is their motto?
An eye for an eye. She ignores the rest of the quote about leaving the whole world blind. Most of panem’s citiziens, especially those in the capitol were already blind.

Possibly her grudge against Clove for killing Katniss is ridiculous considering the girl is dead. She also despises an old market owner in town for referring to her as dirty even though she was trying to give her free soap at the time.

Defensive. Dahlia doesn’t need anyone to criticise her. She believes that it is her parents job to tell her anything she needs to improve on. Since they are not around anymore, everyone else needs to keep their mouth shut.

There are only two people Dahlia ever loved. Since she’s never been in that situation with anyone else, she doesn’t really know if it’d be easy or hard. She believes it’d be hard.

Most bugs Dahlia wants to make friends with. She let’s it into her house, tries to feed them and then eventually takes them out to the woods. Unless it’s a wasp.

People realising she isn’t the crazy wild girl that she intends to be and that she can really hold her own in a fight. The look on their faces makes her feel empowered.
Does your character snore?
No. The noise might attract attention.
Does your character like storms?
Yes, especially if it’s also raining. The rain refreshes her and she relates to the anger and ferociousness of a storm.
What is a specific headcanon you have for your character?
She has never slept in her parents bed or even removes the sheets, even after her old ones got all motheaten. She is afraid that if she sleeps in it then it wouldn’t be theirs anymore and it’d lose their scent.

STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating , unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)
