What’s tfv? You wrote that in one of your tags saying ‘this is tfv culture’. Just curious 😄
no problem x) my friends and I had a DN roleplay community once, we called it the Taskforce Verse (TFV for short), that was around 2015/2016!
the “Beyond’s Hell Kitchen” post was kinda an inside joke in our groupchat, many comments under that post were from us. this is the short explanation but I want to scream about TFV now, so here you go:
okay so, we had many canon DN characters and several original characters. each character had a blog where they could interact with the other characters and answer questions.
the followers could make up criminal personas and send us coded messages and we tried to decode those messages in order to figure out the anon’s true identity. once we managed to do that, another “case” was closed.
we also had a Skype group for more classical roleplay. over time, we worked on fewer cases (they were a lot of work) and started roleplaying more in private. the blogs are inactive now but every now and then, our characters still interact on discord. I also made my first and best online friends there. like @kcgane @spaceblue @obfonteri and many others. most of us are in different fandoms now but we’re still in contact and I can’t wait to meet more of them irl!
I loved being a part of the verse (I played Matsuda cause I’m also a huge dumbass, and an OC) cause we eventually had another plot going on than the Death Note canon, which was really interesting. I’d love to talk more about it I wouldn’t be able to stop. this blog serves as an archive for TFV, we’ve got some bios for the characters and a timeline over there (you can’t view that info on mobile though).
Hello, welcome to the Taskforce Verse blog! Here is where you can keep up to date with TF events, ask whatever questions about the plot/characters/general enquiries and follow what’s happening in the verse.
