Longrow (46%)

This is actually the acclaimed Longrow CV, rebranded to form the brand's entry level whisky. The composition remains the same: a vatting of 6, 10 and 14 year old casks having contained bourbon, sherry, port and rhum. 

This results in a beautiful nose, thriving on a delicate, coastal peatiness. Sweet, with roasted cereals and banana, topped of with briny notes and lime. 

On the palate, a rounded continuation of the cereals. The barley works great, while grassy, earthy tones play a winning supporting role. The finish develops on the characteristic pepperiness. 

One to add to the top entry level drams like Talisker 10, Laddie 10 and, while stocks last, Macallan 10.
