Posting just under the wire here in WI (11:45 pm local time), but Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day from Kaya!
Look who I snuck into school with me today. One of my students is reading her series so I just had to.
So, for a while now, I’ve been meaning to upgrade the storage for my dolls’ clothes—their collections have really grown in the last 18 months as I work on getting or making enough outfits for each of them to have 6, and storing them together, or even split between the few random cardboard boxes I could find just wasn’t keeping up anymore.
Well, my mom and I were having a mother-daughter day for my birthday last week, and I mentioned as much, and that I’d been meaning to see what some stores might have in the way of cute boxes so each of my dolls could have their own storage. She loved the idea, and when we saw the store that we went to was having a HUGE sale on their summer-themed boxes (80% off), she helped me pick out the right ones for my girls as a birthday gift. Some girls the right one was obvious (looking at you Kit, Elizabeth, and Holly), some were more of a stretch, but still felt right. Alex’s was one I already had, so will probably be replaced eventually to fit more with the rest, thematically, but on the whole, I just love the new set up!
(I also realized I have not updated my header photo with a new group picture in a while, so this was the perfect opportunity to do exactly that!)

For Christmas I got a lot of American Girl stuff, but most prominently I received Kaya’s mare, Steps High, and her dog, Tatlo! After a brief snowfall we all went out for some photos.
I will take proper photos later but I was too excited to wait! LOOK AT HER!!!!!! I love her so much I have been DREAMING of having Kaya for YEARS 😍😍😍 She used to belong to one of my best friends, which makes her all the more special to me ❤️ She’s even more beautiful in person I can’t believe it. My heart is so full.
"Tatlo"
