Fic Title- who let the dog out?
Well this has Tarlos kid fic all over it.
Carlos gets a call from one of the kids (via TK's phone) reporting their dog missing. The kid demands a whole search party to scour the neighbourhood and at the end of their shift Carlos, Lexi, and a couple of other uniformed cops turn up to help with what is now a near-inconsolable child.
There's some banter which turns to bickering because TK blames Carlos for not closing the side gate when he left for work. Carlos states he didn't do that and says TK is always distracted and probably didn't close it himself... But when they can't find the dog they're more concerned how they're going to break the news to their kid that the pup probably isn't coming home tonight - if at all.
They go home and find the dog sitting by the back door. There's a loose panel on the fence which was supposed to be fixed last weekend, and pup dug a hole underneath but came home when he was hungry. Kid is happy and now wants pancakes.
Owen and Gabriel then start arguing about how they thought the other one was supposed to fix the fence.
