It took Courtney the rest of the weekend to recover. Duncan had disappeared into thin air, as he did whenever something he didn’t want to deal with happened, and though Courtney, Heather, and Gwen had tried to contact him, they had not received the slightest answer. Bridgette had reassured Courtney that Geoff knew where he was, so at the very least they knew he was safe, but the chances that he’d betray Duncan’s secrecy were slim.

Heather would have tackled Geoff to the ground for it, but Courtney begged her not to.

Either way, Monday came by and, thankfully, Courtney had gotten back to her usual preppy self, throwing herself into her schedule and focusing on her studies. It didn’t mean that she wasn’t still hurt, but at the very least she could worry a little less for her.

Duncan’s disappearance had occupied Heather for the better part of two days, and she hadn’t opened her socials until then.

She had a considerable following, so it wasn’t a surprise when, as she opened Instagram while she had breakfast in the dining hall, she saw a huge influx of notifications. The girls had tagged her in some of the pictures from the party, so she guessed that was a reason. Then, as she scrolled mindlessly, she saw it.

making headway with working on my many oneshots + longfics in my drafts & this was a little smth I thought abt writing when I got invested in this ship a year or two ago. these two would have such a cute romantic dynamic, and i stand by it! also i love that one of their ship names is midnight surfing, like hello??? that's so aesthetic!! also i think this is my first time actually writing gwen as a non-side character, so hopefully i wrote her all right!
