Okay, I may be crazy but..
Has no one noticed how queen sarai interacts with animals? Everyone is obsessing over pip and harrow as a solution to why Ezran can communicate with animals, but who’s to say Sarai couldn't? Regardless as to weather shes part elf or not, I feel as though I’ve convinced myself with the way I’ve seen her express information she may have not have had, or even considered if not for her mighty steed in the great battle against the thunder dragon.
She first sees her horse express some sort of distress when crossing the border is imminent..
Then she has a revelation of sorts, as though its something shes never thought of beforehand. There’s even a dramatic pause as she processes the information being “spoken to her”.
She looks so distressed, and bewildered by the information that was given to her, you can almost tell she didn’t come up with this herself based on that innocent expression...
That’s my theory at least, but who knows what the creators have in store for us, I just have such a strong feeling based on the amount of screen time Sarai was allotted that every bit is important information to begin processing for further seasons..
