Ok, so I’ve decided that I don’t like the Silver. I’d just done the last row in Parma Violet, which I love, but I’ve realised it’s too similar to the Silver and wouldn’t be noticed. So I’m swapping out the Silver for the Parma Violet, and then I’ll get a ball of Wisteria to replace the Parma Violet row. Unfortunately, that does mean ripping back ten rows. The other problem is that I’ve used some of the Silver way back at the beginning of January. So I’m biting the bullet and leaving it, because there’s no way I’m ripping it all back just for a few rows. After a few rows of February, it became obvious that the simple design I was doing was just too simple next to complex January. So I went back to the drawing board, and I’ve designed this. Finally finished January of my mosaic temperature blanket. It took a LOT longer than planned, just because I had other projects with time restraints, and I had to wait for colours to arrive. But it’s done now and I can move onto February, which should hopefully go a lot quicker. February will be a much simpler pattern, and have some new colours; we had a very cold snowy February in 2018, so there are a lot of minus temperatures, which I will be doing in shades of lavender. I’ve also now been able to work out what the full length of the blanket would be if I did all 12 months. It’d be 4m 1cm. So I’ll think I’ll split it into two six monthly blankets.
