I created an alphabet (code, cipher, whatever...) when I was in high school and, because creativity is not my forte, it contained the male/female symbols (or Mars/Venus symbols, if you prefer). To my credit, I made sure they weren’t for the letters M and F respectively to throw would-be code-breakers off
One of the things the senior class got to do in my school was “paint the field house” and me, being terminally weird, decided to decorate it with monograms using the initials of those who were important to me at the time (which means my best friend now, whom I had only just met at the time I made these decorations, is not represented)
When I came back not even a week later, I found the school had censored a number of my symbols, though thankfully not all of them. But the monograms with both the Mars and Venus symbol combined were the most heavily censored
I’ve seen tables of symbols for the many genders out there and though the purpose of me making those symbols was decidedly provincial, my school clearly thought otherwise but if you should see your gender in any of those monograms, you’re welcome to adopt it
