My DnD character, the half-elf Tezra!
They’re climbin’ in yo windows, about to steal yo girl.
Among the nations (that you've planned out already, at least) of Malleon, are there certain foods or drinks that have ritual significance?
Yeah, there are some foods that can be given to gods as offering, though what kinds, and whether it’s the best of the crop or the leftovers, depends on which god and where.
Ausirilon has a thing about milk, for some reason.
Oh, and in Tezra food is separate to religion.
What can you tell us about personal ornamentation in Kno'or or Ausirilon? Jewelry or tattoos, stuff like that.
I coulda sworn I made a post about this before but I can’t find it.
Kno’orilk, particularly the richer ones, go all out with the gold, to levels that might be considered gaudy in other cultures. Gold earrings, bracelets, anklets, rings, piercings, the works.
Richer Tezrans also wear a fair amount of jewellery, but not nearly as much, and in…subtler tones. Ausirilons tend to idealise a simple and plain aesthetic so there’s not going to be a whole lot of ornamentation there, of any kind.
I haven’t given a lot of thought to tattoos because they kind of go against my aesthetic, but I can definitely see them existing in Kno’or. Quite possible even some magical ones, that are only visible under a certain light, or are animated. Possibly there is a trend for having tattoos in strange patterns, especially if they cover a large part of the body.
Tell us about wizards, tumblr user Finalvortex
There are numerous groups I could talk about, but I'm going to assume you're referring to the world of Kno'or.Clockwork wizards are an elite class of about nine wealthy, upper-class men and women in C'rhe. They're the only ones with the time and dedication to learn the complex art of clockwork magic, and are responsible for keeping the city's machinery running. Because they're the only ones with this knowledge, and the city would fall apart without running clockwork, it's very important that nothing happens to them. They have an informal leader, the 'Grand Wizard', but function more as a council. Usually they wear blue robes to distinguish themselves.Concept and identity mages are not wizards. They're more like magical merchants, and there are a lot of them scattered through the town, usually specialising in a particular kind of trait. In Ausirilon, wizards are those who are particularly strong in the ways of their Path, known as The Blessed. Not all Paths have the capacity to lead to wizardhood, but many do. For instance, a particularly powerful Stasis Wielder may actually have the ability to stop time. If a Blessed isn't recruited by the priests, they'll probably go off to live on their own and dedicate their life to studying and developing their art. They often live in towers, for some reason.Tezra has various kind of 'workers: wood, metal, stone, water, and so on. These are more like druids, getting close to nature in order to properly channel and manipulate their element. They require a source to work off of - most use staves, which are also good for channeling energy.
