The story, the animation, the fucking personalities were all incredible. I loved it, even though it seemed kind of rushed.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Transformers in general, and I can't even remember all the live action films they made of them. But this, this I loved. It was funny, but it had its moments that left you in suspense. The graphics were wonderful, and kudos to whomever made the final designs for all the bots and city layout because the detail?? Holy shit??? Like- If they weren't getting a raise before they damn well should get one because wow.
Of course the key thing that brought it together were the actors. Personally, I found Scarlet's acting for Elita a little off-? She's a great actor, but I feel like that there could have been someone else to do Elita, it just seemed weird to me.
But otherwise, I'm glad to see Keegan again, and as B-127 nonetheless! Perfect acting all around, a wonderful badassatron. Chris was also great! I was not expecting to hear him without his accent, because I always hear him with it, so I found that impressive when I found out it was him who voiced orion.
And Brian. Holy fuck. He played d-16/megatron so well. The main speech of his intentions of what to do against Sentinel was beautiful as everyone has been praising, along with the moment when D-16 finally slipped and fully became Megatron when he dropped Orion. Love love love. Maybe it was just me, but when I watched as D-16 slowly descend from his relaxed level-headed self, I could hear the moments sometimes when his voice would shake, and I LOVED IT, because damn when the moments needed that shake it worked beautifully. UGH. Least to say, he's made d-16 my most favorite character in the movie.
Also, screw Lorenzo for trying to connect this film to the other ones. This is no different than the other TV shows that existed, with its own lore and history. It has 0 connection to the bayverse at all, and is in fact the best movie so far this year. I really hope more people go watch it because it deserves the love its getting
