Smalls looked up at the sound of Heather's voice, she looked seconds from tears.
“H-Heather!?” Smalls panicked. “T-thats not what I meant!”
“What else could that have meant Smalls!?” Heather shouted.
“I-I don't kn–!” Small's body jerked suddenly, he began to violently cough and clutch his stomach, Heather and Emma rushed over to help.
Emma lifted Smalls's body upright, and Heather grabbed a pail just in time for Smalls to turn over and vomit into it.
After Smalls stopped coughing, Emma gently laid him down, he curled up, hugging his stomach.
“Let's get you some tonics.” Emma said leaving to grab them.
Heather didn't say anything, she was mad. “Why would Smalls say that?!” She thought.
Heather left the room.
Helmer glanced at Smalls, he made up his mind to go find Picket.
Helmer headed out the hospital.
Smalls glanced up, he saw no one in the room. “I guess they don't wanna be around me, thats okay....
.....I want Wilfred...”
Smalls closed his eyes on more tears.
“Smalls?” Emma asked, she shook Smalls's body awake.
“huh?...” Smalls said, waking up from sleep, he looked around the room, Heather was changing the bed sheets, and Emma was infront of him with tonics
“Open your mouth please.” Emma asked, pouring some green tonic into a spoon.
“I'm fine.” Smalls said.
“Wasn't a question.” She replied.
“I'm fine.” Smalls said again, he looked down and pushed his face against his scarf.
“Open your mouth.” Emma said, more sternly this time.
......
“I'm fine.” Smalls repeated.
“Smalls.” Emma said harshly.
“I–” Smalls began, looking up, Emma took this as an opportunity, she pushed the spoon into Smalls mouth when he opened it to speak, Smalls swallowed it before gagging and looking at Emma with tears.
“w-why would you d-do t-that!” he cried.
“You wouldn't take it.” Emma said.
“I don't need to when I'm–!" Smalls got cut off
(crash!)
Both rabbits looked up to the broken down door with a brown lanky rabbit fallen over on top of it.

That ain't happening actually.
Whatcha doin!” Jo said, jumping up extra high, causing his landing to break the door even more.
“You have eyes!” Smalls said angrily. “What does it look like!?!”
“Whoa there!” Jo said, throwing his arms up. “What's twisted your tail?”
“Shut UP!” Smalls yelled hitting the bed. “LEAVE ME ALONE!!” Smalls turned on his stomach and shoved his face into his pillow.
Jo leaned over to Emma. “What's his problem? I just wanted to check up on him?”
“He is being stubborn, and then mad when we call him out on it.” Emma said, picking up a clipboard.
“Whats wrong with him always?” Jo asked.
Emma showed him the clipboard.
“Oh…” Jo's ears flopped down. “Is there a way to help?” He asked.
“That’s the other thing, Smalls is upset about Wilfred leaving to go get the cure.” Emma said, writing on the clipboard.
“Understandable, I miss my parents sometimes too.” Jo said.
“Yeah well, he can miss Wilfred while also listening to me.” Emma put the clipboard back down on a small table next to the bed Smalls was on.
“He isn't going to live for Wilfred to even get the cure if he keeps acting stupid.” Emma said.
“I can hear you..” Smalls's muffled voice said.
“Good, then maybe you'd learn to listen if you were aware of the consequences.” Emma said, grabbing an extra blanket and laying it over Smalls.

“I'm fine.” Smalls said.
“Smalden Joveson if you say that even ONE MORE TIME!!” Emma yelled, she didn't even feel that bad when she saw Smalls flinch at the tone.
“Hey don't yell at him!” Jo said, placing himself between Emma and Smalls.
"The only way to get Smalls to fluffin 'listen is to yell at him! That ain't my fault he doesn't listen!”
“He listens when you yell because he's scared!” Jo said.
“Well if we're being totally honest! He doesn't even listen if I do yell at him!” Emma shouted.
“He is SCARED!” Jo said.
“HOW DO YOU KNOW?!” Emma shouted, even louder.
“Because I–” Jo began.
“Why are we fighting?!” Said Victor Blackstar running in, flanked by his twin children.
“JO IS–”
“EMMA WON'T–”
“STOP!” Victor yelled “WE HAVE NO–” Victor saw Smalls flinch at the loud noise. “We have no reason to be fighting.” Victor said with a much quieter voice.
“JO WON'T–” Emma began but Victor cut her off.
“Quiet voice please, dear Emma.” Victor said.
“FINE! Jo is defending that idiot!” Emma said.
“Shush, I said quiet voices please, we also don't call people idiots, what is wrong with Jo defending Smalls? Aren't you supposed to help him as well?” Victor asked.
“Smalls is being way too stubborn and not accepting help!” Emma said.
“Why?” Victor asked.
“Why would I know!?” Emma yelled.
A bit more sternly Victor said “Inside voices Emma.” A bit lighter he asked “Did you ask him why?”
“No.” Emma replied.
“Maybe there's a reason he won't accept the help so easily.” Victor said.
“How would I figure that out?!” Emma asked.
“You're not dumb Emma dear, you can figure it out.” Victor said, patting Emma's shoulder.
Emma sighed and walked a bit closer to the bed.
“Smalls.” She said, it came out harsher than intended and she saw Small flinch again.
“Sorry, Smalls.”
Emma said again, this time with a lighter tone. Smalls ears pointed in her direction but he didn't say anything.
“Is there a reason why you refuse to take medicine and medical care?” She tried to make it as nice as possible but a bit of her earlier tone slipped through at the last words. Smalls flinched again.

“Smalls?” Jo asked.

“Hello?” Heyna joined the conversation. “Are you there Smalden?”

“Smalls?” Victor said.

“Smalls?” Cole asked.

Emma tried again, “Smalls I'm not mad I promise.”

“I'm sorry for yelling, I'm just frustrated and scared for you.” Emma said.
