I am so normal about Hypnos and Thantatos.

I am so normal about them being intrinsically linked not just by being twins but by their roles in the universe. Sleep is the closest one can get to death without actually dying, and death is just an eternal slumber.

I am so normal about them being two sides of the same coin, not just connected by their DNA and their jobs. Needing each other to operate, needing the mortal dying of old age to be put to sleep before their soul can be reaped.

I am so normal about Hypnos having multiple lovers and children while Thanatos stays alone, content with being uncle death to his twins kids.

I am so normal about them needing each other to work efficiently. Helping each other carry bodies off the battlefield, lulling the dying to rest before they take their last breath, back winged Thanatos holding up his twin whoes head wings aren't as big and don't hold as much weight.

I am so normal about them being the light twin and the dark twin, the gentle twin and the 'scary' twin, the loved twin and the feared twin. No one truly understands them like they do each other.

I am so normal about godling death knowing he'll get the best rest possible if he just climbs into bed next to his sleepy twin and the two resting together with no stress.

I am so normal about the cthonic twins I promise.

I'd like to think that when we die, we never die alone. I believe that Thanatos waits beside us, there to hold our hand as our souls leave our bodies. I believe that Hermes takes our other hand, guiding us from this life to the next. I believe that Charon sits us down on his boat, transitioning fully from the world of the living to that of the dead. I believe that when we enter through Haides' gates, even then, we are not alone as we're accompanied with other souls - maybe some people we know, and others we don't. And when I take my rest in the Fields of Asphodel, there'll be other content souls, resting amongst the flowers beside me as we spend our afterlives in peace within King Haides' beautiful kingdom.

Dear Lord, brother to the gentlest of Gods

Hark my earnest prayers.

Child of Darkness and Night

Thou who come shrouded

In a pale misty light.

And often your arrival is yearned by us

For thy gentle touch doth relieve us.

We're after all earthly mud

And in our premise,

We're subjected to demise.

But never do I fear the gentle gust of wind

Whenever I do tarot readings with Hypnos no matter where I am in my house, my cat just suddenly appears and feels the need to lay down on my tarot spread. And it only happens with Hypnos. Everyone else like Erebus, Thanatos, Ares, and sometimes Beelzebub? She sits off to the side and watches me do those tarot readings.

So where am I going with this? Well my only thought whenever I see my cat lay down on my tarot spread with Hypnos is just my cat laying down in his lap. And every time I feel Hypnos’ energy grow warmer as well as him saying “How precious” when she does. It melts my heart and honestly I’m debating on drawing it no promises though
