Enchanting USPF Intramurals 2015

I grow up without any courage to enroll myself in any sports. I wanted to be an athlete but it turns out to be reverse since I’m just a cheerer. I just love watching people who are very good in their field of expertise. Even right now, I don’t have a deep knowledge in any sports even in badminton which I love to play. It’s not that I don’t want to learn but there are people who are better than me. One thing I think of, is that I don’t want to lose our team just because of my carelessness. When I heard of the word “Intramurals” it felt like I will have tiring days. I felt tired because I might lose my voice because of cheering. Some of my problems during those days, I don’t know what to do and I don’t have any companion. This year 2015 Intramurals gave me excitement. I didn’t understand why but maybe because I was with my friends and I had a task to do. I was also excited to cheer for our beloved School of Business and Management.

On the 1st day, the game was only Soccer baseball Men and Women Division. Soccer baseball was played in our field in USPF. The scheduled that time was 1:00 in the afternoon. It was very hot in that day so I recommend you to bring below for protection. Things to bring:  Umbrella  Cap  Water  Sunblock  Sunglasses

Unfortunately, during the third game of Women’s Division, our team SBM lost but they tried their best. Go SBM!

On the 2nd day, our program started around 8:30 in the morning for our Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2015. We assembled in our newly renovated covered court and had the parade of different departments in the universities.

The players made the oath of sportsmanship. It was followed by the introduction of the candidates of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2015. In addition to that, the little Mr. and Ms. Intramurals were also introduced.

All the candidates introduced themselves and performed their talents. Some intermission was also showed while waiting for the results of the event.

Finally it was announced that in Mr. Intramurals, our SBM department got the 1st and 2nd runner-up while in Ms. Intramurals we had the 1st runner-up. We had 2 candidates in every division so it was still a great achievement that there 3 candidates had been awarded.

After the awarding, we went out of the covered court. Always bring with you a fan because it was still hot inside. The program ended half day because all ball games would start around 1:00 in the afternoon.

Our organization aside from our department, we were assigned in athletics and soccer baseball. We had to be there to give our support since it was the only way we could give.  As an officer also in our organization, we prepared also the foods for our assigned games. Unfortunately, the athletics game was moved on the next day while the soccer baseball game was forfeited. Our lesson for that day was that never buy food earlier if possible to avoid wastage.

We went also the Volleyball Men’s Division to cheer for our crushes but most importantly for our tourism player. In late afternoon, we watched also the game of Volleyball Women’s Division.

On the 3rd day, our program still it started around 8:30 in the morning. This time, it was the awaited event during intramural days. Intramurals could not be perfect without “Cheerdance” and all of the department were ready to grove. These were the contingents of every department:

It would not end without any announcement for the winners. Luckily, our SBM department was the winner.

Around 1:00 in the afternoon, we went to the field to support our athletics and soccer baseball men. We prepared again for their snacks and this time, we already learned from our lesson not to buy food before the game. The game ended about 3:00 in the afternoon due to the heavy rains. The field games where re-scheduled the following day again for the continuation.We decided to watch basketball, volleyball and badminton game to support also our department.

On the 4th day, the athletics and soccer baseball men game was continued that day. We prepared lunch for the athletes. Some other games were continued that day, the basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc.

On the 5th day which was the last day, the scheduled game was for championship in the morning. We went to soccer baseball men and watched then we transferred in the volleyball men. Our SBM soccerbaseball men were the champion but for our volleyball men lost against College of Engineering and Architecture. 

The program in the afternoon was the Dance sports which all of the departments of the university had their respective representatives. Fortunately, our department won 1st place in the one of the category while on the other category, it won 2nd place.  During that day, there was still lots of games for championship especially the volleyball division which lasted until 11:00 in the evening.

I couldn’t believe that those days would give me enough joy. I laughed and cheered like a teenager. I could say that university life strengthen my spirit in becoming more enthusiastic.

Über Freunde

Freunde sind etwas verrücktes. Sie kommen in dein Leben, so wie alle andren Menschen. Aber sie ziehen nicht vorbei so wie alle andren Menschen, der Unterschied ist, sie bleiben. Und ehe man sich versieht teilt man sich mit ihnen ein Bett, trägt ihre Klamotten, bedient sich an ihrem Kühlschrank und umarmt ihre Mütter. Und nie hätte man sich gedacht einmal diese Art von Familie zu spüren. Man fühlt sich zuhause. Nichtmehr wie der einzige Baum im Wald. Und jeder Tag ist besonders, auch wenn man nicht zusammen ist, der Gedanke ,dass es jemanden gibt. Der zählt. Ich sage euch viel zu selten wie froh ich bin, dass es euch gibt. Danke.
